I know it's kinda early to talk about Valentine Day's Gifts but as you all know the MailSystem can be slow at times so I am going to start sending my lil' gifts either Thursday or Friday cuz Feb 1st is on Sunday. Well, there were other threads on here about what to give as a Valentine's Gift Idea so I just wanted to list a few of the things I am considering ...

- I am going to send him LOVE NOTES for 14 days made of Red, Pink & White Construction Paper while getting creative with my Paper Hole Puncher shaped in a Heart w/words of Sweet Loving Things. (Note: You can buy a Heart Shaped Paper Hole Puncher at a RagShop, they were on sale for $1!)

- I am going to send him these Post Cards called "HeartWarmers" - I found them in my nearest Dollar Store and they are the Cutest Cards shaped in a Heart. Each Heart has sweet & loving words.

- I went to my nearest Hallmark and found this card that list "101 reasons why I love you" ... it's sooooo adorable, funny & cute.

- I am putting together a Calendar w/pics of myself for every month ... I have a Digi Cam so I know I can put something together.

- I am going to make a scroll with our Names on it with the meanings of our names. (I am still researching for the meanings - lol)

- I brought a pack of Valentine Day cards that the kids use to give out at the schools and sending it for 14 days with my handmade Love Notes.

- Valentine Coupons is another good thing to send and can easily be made to your man's taste. ;)

As you can see I have gathered tons of ideas from all the threads ... feel free to add to this thread & do the same ... Enjoy making your handmade Valentine Gifts ... I know I will. :D He is gonna be floored to receive these things in the next couple of weeks as we go ... aww, I do LUV him so ... can ya tell? ;)

I didn't know the dollar store sold the heart shape cards, thanks for sharing that with everyone. I think I might go by the dollar store tomorrow and pick a few things up :) thanks.

I also found hole puncher in the shape of lips, I have a ton of Valentine cards to send him, went crazy at the discount card shop. also US Postage Stamps with the candy hearts on them that say "I "HEART" YOU, they are soooooooo cute. And yes the coupons are a great idea.

I know this doesn't really help for now, but I always buy my man gifts for when he gets home and tonight I went to wal mart. They had this bear that is wearing a black & white striped shirt with a ball and chain and it says "convicted of love" I will take a pic of it to send him and at least I get to eat the chocalate because it would be old in 5 years!

i went out and got the heart stamps with I love you.....well duh to me...they rip the corner off where the stamp is.....my sweetie never gets to see it.. I did this after getting the LOVE stamps...but dingy me, went to the post office and stood in line and said "I want two books of stamps and a money order!" Yeah well atleast he got the money order.....

Well of course I am mailing him 14 valentine's day cards and I am going to do the 101 ways to say I love you on the construction paper hearts but I think that I am going to send him a book and some other things that I can find well I had a word search made for him and you could put up to 35 things on it so I did that and it was only 11.00 dollars and I'm going to have a collage made for him 20.00 dollars and when I see him on that saturday I think that I might wear something that I hope will be sexy but not revealing and I'm going to buy some other things I also bought the stamps with the I heart u on them I think there cute also.......
There really not a lot you can do but I went into the deepest part of my brain you know the place where you wouldnt let anyone else go but him and wrote him a letter so to speak and I made it very detailed and told him everything I wanted him to do and everything I could do tooooooooo...
But other than that I think that I'm going to let him call me after the visit and I'll talk dirty to him or something LOL I dont know it's hard ..........

ILuvRitchie, Sorry to hear that ur not feeling loveable at the moment. It truly is hard to stay happy and upbeat with Valentine's Day just weeks away but you are not alone. I miss my Fiance very much ... I took the Christmas Season very, very hard cuz I missed him so ... he was picked up on Dec. 2nd, 2003 so I decided that I would not let this Holiday get the best of me & him because he too was feeling bad.

I decided that I would do what I could to brighten the next couple of weeks for him with lots of sweet love notes just to show him how much I do Luv & Support him no matter the distance & drama we are going thru ... with that said ...

Haha, Louie was home for Valentine's Day last year and I got that bear for him! He LOVED it! His nephew ripped the chocolates off (he was only a year old) but we still have them with the bear, just not attached.

Here's something I like to do for my husband every once in a while,.. I'll write him a sappy love letter, and then translate it into another language, and make him go find the translation. You can do this on several sites, but I use www.babblefish.com Good luck y'all~

As I mentioned before on this thread I started sending his V-day gifts for 14days straight and today I finally reached day 14 so he should be getting it on Saturday (Fingers are crossed) ... and by far this last package I sent was the best ... I worked on it since I got of work today. :)

I got a call from him today he was so happy ... he says the other inmates are jealous w/envy - lol ... so I know that all my hard work for these past 14days have been well worth it cuz he can't stop smiling from ear to ear ... :)

I sent my man 6 love letters all about Valentines day and how I feel about him. We normally send love/intimate/down right nasty letters (ssshhhhh lol) to each other but... these were sweet and... Valentine themed so, I know he'll love them. ANYWAYS... yea, I sent him the 6 love letter, 5 Valentines cards ( 2 serious ones, 2 comical ones and... 1 HUGE one..okay, not THAT huge but.. big enough lol), 5 pictures of me dressed up in red lingerie that I just bought a couple of weeks ago, some $$, 3 poems, and I plan on giving him a radio shout out on Valentines Day as well. :)
NOW.. as for him.. his Valentines to me has already begun!! I have been receiving cards all ...week.. long. I have about 6 already! :) He had told me about a week ago that when I get my package I am NOT TO OPEN IT UNTIL VALENTINES DAY!! He was SO strict on that lolol. So, yesterday... no 2 days ago, I get this BIG OL' BOX.. I'm talking' .... IT WAS A BIG BOX okaaaayy!! lol I was soooo surprised. But, I was not allowed to open it so.. I didn't. I got a call from him that night and I told him that the big box had come and he said that that wasn't the part of the "package" that I couldn't open so.. he told me to open the box right then and there when he was on the phone with me. OH MY GOSH... can I tell you how I RIPPED open that box (which wasn't easy at ALL because it was taped down VERY WELL!! lol). Would you believe... I couldn't believe it... would you believe, that my man... had a hat and scarf set MADE for me and my daughter??? One of his boys up in their crochets and... he had him MAKE us hat and scarf sets. My daughters even has her name on it!! I could not BELIEVE IT!! He is always on me because I am ALWAYS complaining about how cold it is this winter, and how my daughter lost the 62nd hat this winter hahaha... so this man really said, YOU KNOW WHAT? I'm gonna send this woman hat and scarf sets for the both of them hahaha. I thought that was SOOOOO SWEEET!
He told me that wasn't really my Valentines gift though, just something to ... keep me warm and that.. arrived near Valentines.

OKAY... OKAY.. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOKAY!!!

WELL...(smilin' hard as HELL!! lolol) ...

First of all .. ladies... lol... it wasn't a BOX!! lol The BOX... was what came earlier in the week with the scarf and hats in it for my daughter and I... I was allowed to open that one lol. That wasn't my present!! GET YA STORY STRAIGHT!! hahahaha

BUT.. this morning.. I got to open the PACKAGE! It was just one of those large size envelopes...you know the kind... that is about 8x10 in size.
*sigh* WELL... he called me, as planned, this morning at 10am (allowing me to sleep in a little bit). We talked for a bit and then he told me that I could open it once I got off the phone with him. At the same time I was opening mine, he was going to go and START opening his (remember, I sent him an envelope FULL of stuff. He is to take his time, throughout the day, and open everything. That was MY RULE!! lol So, he began after we got off that call.)
SO... LADIES... you wouldn't BELIEVE how fast I jumped outta my bed when I put that phone down. I damn near FELL outta the bed ... the covers were all intertwined in my feet and legs hahahaha.
But.. I got to the closet, got the package, and tore right into it.
What was inside? OH MY GOODNESS!! Well, it was just one card. One 8x10 card that he had made for me himself. The outside of it was sooooooo nice. With all these hearts and beautiful roses (he was so proud of himself hahahaha).
BUT it was when I OPENED the card that I got my surprise!! It was THEN... THEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENNNNN that I nearly lost my breath!!
I opened the card... *sigh*... and what do I see??????










































I see 2 pictures of him.... sitting down.... smiling harder than I have EVER EVER EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVER seen my man smile before... and if that wasn't enough.... the main part of the picture... was a certain TATTOO that he had added to his ... person. MORE SPECIFICALLY... to his RING FINGER!!! Yes... that's right ladies... this man... my man... did the damn thang!! ;) He... oh my gosh.. I have been GIDDY all day long... please forgive me if I have typos all up and THROUGH this post hhaha... anyways.. yes... he tattooed a ring onto his ring finger, with my name on it, and a lil' crown on top of my name!!
He was showin' the tattoo off in both pictures. I .. fell.. OUT!! Let me tell you. I couldn't believe it.
Now, there was a letter in the card, explaining everything as well. It was not a proposal... CALM YOURSELVES DOWN WOMEN!! hahahaha... he said that when he does do that.. it would most DEFINITELY be in person. He said that this ring is a sign of committment from him to me and a promise... to be my husband... when the day is right and within Gods plan. :) He said a lot more but... I ain't tryin' to bore you guys !! lolol

BUT I AM SOOOOOO HAPPY!! He looked so happy. I cannot WAIT to see him again! :) He was not going to tell me this way actually. He had it done about 3 1/2 weeks ago and I was SUPPOSE to be going to see him the last weekend of January but all kinds of drama messed that up for us. He was going to surprise me in the visiting room with it. But, since he knew my trip wsa going to be post-poned for about 6 weeks... he decided to do it this way. :)
I can't WAIT to go and see my baby now... oooooooh I am so happy today. This is the best Valentines I've EVER had! :)

There are alot of great ideas here:D There where a couple that caught my attention like the coupons but i was wonderin how do you come about making those? Are they made of construction paper? I also like the v-day card ideas so since this is my first year doing this i was wonderin do you write anything on the back of the card:confused: :)

The coupons are already premade on the website. You just print them out and send them to your man. Or you can make your own on Hoochymail, but they cost like $15. Either way I have gotten a great response from them. My husband stayed up all night writing me a letter about how he was going to cash in those coupons.
