on wednesday jan 21st my baby got sentenced. he got 13.5years. he got charged with 2 theft means of transportation and possession of a dangerous drug. he had prior felony convictions. the owners of the vehicles did'nt want to press charges they actualy said they let him borrow their vehicles. the prosecuter even recomended he gets 4.5 years. I dont know what to say or think of this. does anybody have an opinion on this. was it fair, or not. can he still have a change in getting less time? alsdfjlasdfjklasdj

I dont know alot about the court system I know here in Az they are real hard ..during my guys sentencing ..the Judge gave away years like it was candy ..@Maricopa Superior Court...anyway he will do 85 % and might qualify for half time if there was no weapon involved ...and does he have any timed served ??? that might help it a bit ...and now in about 2 weeks they will move him to Towers and then to Alhambra and then where ever they please ...be strong ..your just in shock right now ..it will get better and try only to go day by day ..if you think of terms of years it seems impossible ...but you can do it Christine

I dont know enough about your situation. Was he sented in Feds or under a state? I do know in Feds you have up to one year post sentence to make a deal and give the prosecutors evidence in order to reduce your sentence. I know it is dangerous to be a rat though.

I am sorry for your pain. This war on drugs is insane.
