Just found out that he went to Globe. What a drive that will be from Yuma to Globe. Any of you have loved one's at Globe? Did visitation paperwork get approved fast? What is visitation like there? I am all new to this so give me details. Thanks:)

Wow he is at Globe? Nice... That is one of the nicest yards to be on. Minimum custody, and they only send just certain people there. Non violent, short time, not a threat.

My husband just got sent to Globe last month. I put my visitation request in on 9/3/09 and still haven't been approved. My mother-in-law on the other hand has been approved and she put a request in on 9/4/09. We are also from Yuma and as soon as we can will be making the trip up there. I got a letter from my boyfriend on Friday and he said that there is a golf course on the yard. That is just crazy. Plus, he doesn't have a cell door. It's a cubicle and they are not on locked down 24/7. So, that makes me feel better. I just worry so much. As soon as I am approved I am making that drive that same weekend. The mail seems to get here fast so that's good. I just want to hear his voice on the phone and know he is okay.

Yeah the mail is pretty quick. Still haven't been approved for visits and he still hasn't been able to even call my mother in law. He said once visits are approved it takes about one or two more weeks until the phone calls are approved. My husband also says its a pretty nice place and he keeps busy with work and classes.

I called visitation and they said it takes a week for the background check because they have to mail it somewhere. After that the deputy warden signs the final approval. Well, he said it might take a little longer than usual because the deputy warden has been going to a lot of meetings and hasn't had a chance to sign them. So, he said it should take two weeks total but they have up to 60 days. I am so depressed because I haven't even got a letter from my man. Maybe your husband can check up on my boyfriend to make sure he is okay? I will PM you his name. I am really nervous because my boyfriend always has written me and when he was in county he called me at least 10 times a day. I just hate not knowing.
