Depending on which county or court, the records may or may not be online. Shawnee County (Topeka) is at www.shawneecourt.org, Johnson County (Olathe, Overland Park, Mission, etc.) is at www.jococourts.org. A bunch of counties are accessible only through the subscription accesskansas.org. What county are you after?

Sorry, as of 2008 Montgomery County records were not online anywhere, and their webpage (http://14thjudicialdistrict-ks.org/) currently shows Under construction. You might trying calling the clerk's office [620-330-1070 in Independence].

Public records for what exactly? You can get a transcript of the trial and appeals (usually) but you will pay a pretty hefty cost (Saline county charges $0.50 per page). You'll have to contact the county where the trial was. If you're looking for the basic information on his crime, go to KASPER on the DOC's website. It has basic information about his crime/past crimes, his sentence and any disciplinary charges or moving around the facilities. Hope this helps.
