Maybe someone can help. My daughter was transferred about 2 weeks ago to State Jail. Then only problem is, she is not showing up in the system and we have not heard from her. How many female state jails are there and how would we get in contact with her. I am worried sick!!!! Can someone please at least lead me in the right direction. Thank You!

If she was transferred to the Texas prison system you can look her up online using the TDCJ Offender Search (http://168.51.178.33/webapp/TDCJ/index2.htm) web site. Just enter her first and last name. Make sure you have pop up blocking turned off, at leat for that webb site. If a new window does not open when you being the search then it is being blocked as a pop up.

Since Harris county does send some inmates to other places if the jail gets crowded it is possible she ahs been moved somewhere else and not to TDC but I think they are erally only doing that with the men. If she is not showing up on the TDC site (which she should be by now) then you can use the Texas VineLink (https://www.vinelink.com/vinelink/initSearchForm.do?searchType=offender&siteId=44900) website to search for her.
