www.innocencedenied.com
This is a site that profiles innocent people THEY believe in. I printed out their application and sent it to my friend on DR. He filled them out and sent them to InnocenceDenied. I do not know if they will profile him or what, but I thought I'd share it with the rest of you in case you have a candidate for this site. I think this is a site that could be helpful if you are campaigning for your friend/husband/etc.

I've been over the site many times and I can't find an application either. I suppose I'd better email them and find out how to get them sent to e.

Here is another site that deals with the same kind of thing. These people specialise in getting DNA evidence bought forward.

The Innocence Project does good work. As you say, they specialize in cases where DNA evidence may lead to a case being overturned. Be aware that the prisoner and/or his/her family will have to pay for any DNA testing that is done, but I believe they try to keep prices down as much as is possible.
The Innocence Project has freed a number of people. It has also confirmed the convictions of several people whose DNA confirmed their guilt. Truth will out, after all.
One of the major obstacles one faces after a conviction is getting new evidence heard by a court. Appeals courts are often reluctant to consider new evidence which might overturn the existing verdict. On the other hand, especially in capital cases, there is now Supreme Court case law (House vs. Bell and another case, I believe) which is likely to prevent any defendant with new evidence from being executed without that evidence being presented and evaluated in court.
