The government's "negative consequences" campaign meant to show that marijuana is not a "harmless" drug, will run two ads during Sunday's Super Bowl broadcast, as well as two on the pre-game show on Walt Disney Co.'s ABC.

According to an article on AdAge.com, one ad shows a 40-ish couple looking worried about a pregnancy, but it turns out it is their daughter, who apparantly had unprotected sex after using marijuana, who is pregnant.

During last year's Super Bowl, the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy debuted ads that suggested illegal drug use supports terrorism. Since then a number of ads touting the same theme have been run on television. The campaign has now shifted focus and is aimed at discouraging marijuana use by young people.

Last year Drug Policy Alliance launched a huge counter campaign (http://www.theantidrugwar.com/) criticizing the government's attempt to blame non-violent drug users for terrorism and wasting tax payer dollars on expensive ads demonizing America's youth.

I know!! Now, someone, please, correct me if i am wrong, but NO ONE has died from smoking marijuana all by itself. You can drink yourself do death, snort yourself to death, base yourself to death, shoot up yourself to death, but NOT smoke marijuana and drop dead, UH HUH!!
