Hello,

Please visit: www.friendsofandyw.org

concerning the sentencing of Andy Williams under California's Prop. 21 and the appeal we are working on. Although we agree that Andy should pay for his crime, we think 50 years behind bars before consideration for parole is absurd. Most adults could not take the bullying that this kid had endured without snapping, and we expect a child to put up with it?
Any advice or help would be appreciated.
Thanks so much!
Kim

I agree!!

My son was sentenced to 99 years for an aggravated robbery and is eligible for parole in 30 years. We're appealing too, but it's going to take a while. My son just turned 17 years old and does have a learning disability and other mental disorders. This doesn't justify the fact that a crime was committed, but where's the rehabilitation? This was not a sole criminal act. However, the State is no longer looking for anyone else because they feel they have the "one and only" person involved. My son is salvageable, just misguided! Keeping him locked up for such a long time will only ruin him in the long run. I said this before, and I will say it again, I do believe in miracles and I hope one come our way. Take Care!! PEACE!!
