Shortie TEXAS

I am introducing myself and my husband. We just got married in November of 2001. He has been in prison for 2 1/2 years now. This is his second time in and he got 12 years for burgulary of a habitation. His story is nothing new but our story is amazing and I would like share it with you.
We met via my ex-brother in law who was locked up with my husband I call Teddy Bear. We corresponded for over a year and then I came to visit him. I was living in California at the time. Let's just say I never thought I would be involved with someone who was in prison little lone married to an inmate.
God does work in mysterious way. I found my soulmate and now we are married. My 2 sons absoultly adore him and we have looked past where he is at currently.
We have now corresponded and visited for 2 years. We are trying to get him out of the system. He comes up for parole again in late 2002. Unfortunily he got into a fight in dec. of 2000. He now faces free world assult charges. So we are looking to get those resolved with a favoriable outcome. This would be his third felony and they are saying he may get 25 - life due to the habitual offenders law in texas. I am scared and so is he.
See so now that we have found that one person you look your life for I can't have him. Not because he'e married or gay but becuase he is stuck in a prison system that does not want to let go of him. I am in this for the long haul and just pray that one day we will be able to betogether. He is a very caring person and he truly does have the ability to change his life and he continues to do that daily. So I leave you with the introduction of a husband and wife who are madly in love but seperated by the stupid mistakes you make in life. So I encourge you to love the one you have and try to forgive them of the mistakes they've made. Love is a gift everyone deserves and everyone needs. Until we can be together I just thank you for all the support and love this site allows us to share with one another. Much love to you all.

Just found out they we are going to court on the 16th for the pending fight charges. Pray for us.

well I am not sure if he can keep me out of the hearing, I do not think so. He is violating my rights by dening me. I really don't think he wants to do that. I updated the topic in general talk i think but anthony did get his min. custody so he is going to be eligible for contact visits in a couple of weeks. :)

It was pretty easy to do.. I have some better ones. It is something I do in my spare time (not that I really have any) LOL I love photo editing. But I really like doing work in adobe 6.0 for graphics and pic. I was just pardon the phrase "nigger riggin" it.

Shortie, what program do you use to manipulate your pictures? I often use Paint Shop Pro because the ease of use. You can edit an image by size or resolution. So.. If you wanted to you could cut that picture by 50% in size and keep the aspect ration.
I also use Adobe Photoshop but that is pretty complex, at least for me.. Still trying to get the feel of it..

Hey david you have adobe you are lucky that is my favorite program.. I can do so much in there.. It is so easy to use once you understand it.. Trust me you will like it more.. Play with it.. You can do amazing things with the layers.

Yes, those boys are really cute!! Lovely picture. About the size, I found out that, when I scan pictures, and I don't want them so big, I have to scan them as jpeg files, to publish on the internet. But I don't know what kind of scanner you have? I have an Agfa or something like that....

it is scaned as a jpeg. and still they are larger then life..

marriage can be a blessing but it is always something to really talk about. just like every thing else there will be problems that arise. Just know that it is not always fun but if you love each other it will be with every stuggle you encounter. Love is the best gift we can give or receive.

I agree Shortie...marriage needs a lot of talking between the 2 parties, it's not something to just start on. But it sounds like she is really really in love with her man. Makes me smile!

Yes we both do have a lot of talking and thinking to do. He put the request in to his counselor, we agreed on 6 months of counseling.

Shortie, it was great to read your story, you've given me the courage to post mine and Vic's story...but I'll wait till after our visit on the 4th of July and then I too, can post the pictures!!

thank you for all the support for re class and for parole.. I am trying to stay positive but keep myself prepared for an answer either way.. That is the worst thing we can do to our selves.. Be so positive and not thinking or preparing for the worst. I try to keep a balance... It makes it a little easier to deal with.. OK well not really but it sounded good.. LOL :)

Well it has been a long couple of years for me and I am glad that we are on the down side of all of this time. No matter what Ant will be home in 2005. Sound long but it's worth the wait. I am just trying to stay busy and get myself mentally ready for his release. I think that is going to be the biggest adjustment for me. Waking up and relalizing I am not dreaming that he is really home. It is scary that I wake up and see him there but he is really not there. :(

I thank God we both continue to grow and get to know one another.. :)

guess what I got to see my baby all by myself.. What an amazing visit to get lost in him for 2 hours... :) Could they lock us in a closet for about 5 mins :) LOL

My man and I were saying the same thing this weekend. How I long for even one minute alone, for him to just hold me without some damn CO watching like a nazi. Hopefully visits will be better when he moves to another place. Anyway, glad you and Anthony got to share some alone time!!! I'm sure that it boost your spirits and his too.
