Once an inmate has received his paperwork stating that the transfer request has been approved, about how long does it usually take for the transfer to happen?

Well my man was at Milhaven from end of Sept. to Jan. 7th. He was there for about 3.5 months. I think that once they get the transfer papers it moves fairly quickly...about a monthish.

I sure hope it's only about a month. Once my hubby is moved I'll be able to go and visit him! (5 hour drive vs. 15 hour drive) I can't wait!!!!

It depends on what institution and how long there waiting lists are!!
