Protests & Vigils in Texas
Death penalty opponents routinely gather in six Texas cities to protest executions. Times and addresses are as follows:

Huntsville:
5:30 p.m.,
St Stephens Episcopal Church,
108 Sam Houston
Ave. Contact: 409-295-7226

Huntsville:
5:30 to 6:30 p.m. day of execution.
Walls Unit in downtown Huntsville.
Please bring banners, signs and candles.

Austin:
5:30 to 6:30 p.m. day of execution
at the Governor's Manson
on the Lavaca St. side between 10th and 11th St.

Houston:
Vigils take place at 6 p.m. the first Tuesday of each month
and alternate between the
Dominican Chapel at
6501 Almeda Rd at
Holcombe and
Villa de Matel,
6510 Lawndale (EXIT WAYSIDE OFF 45).
When you enter the main gate, take the first right turn and park along there. A sign will direct you to the chapel.

College Station:
5:30 to 6 pm day of execution
east of Texas A&M campus, across the street from the main entrance.
A "STOP EXECUTIONS"
banner is displayed plus one telling the number of executions since reinstatement.

Dallas:
5:30 pm day of execution at
the major intersection of
Mockingbird and Central Expressway.
"Stop Executions" banners are displayed, and literature is handed out.

San Antonio:
Noon on execution days on
the Main Plaza across from Bexar County Courthouse and San Fernando Cathedral.
