View Full Version : Just wanted to introduce myself kreepsgirl 01-21-2004, 04:25 PM HI! I recently found this forum, although I have been on PTO for about a year now. I am glad I found this forum cause my man was sentenced to 15 years. I plan on visiting this forum more often! squeaky 01-21-2004, 09:03 PM hi,my guy has 23-28.it's nice too talk with someone that's not a short timer at times. MrsP 01-21-2004, 09:13 PM I agree with Squeaky. It is nice to know that there are people who understand. And, sometimes its hard to read about the people who only have a year or two to do. I'd give anything for that at this point! Eboniizs 01-21-2004, 09:36 PM My guys comes home in two weeks, but we've done the past 16+ years as a team.. If any of you need to talk, I'm here.. ((((( Hugs ))))) Monica darkbluegirl 01-22-2004, 11:36 AM Yes, it is better, although we are in the same boat, some are in a row boat, some of us are on a leaky freighter, lol. It's hard to relate, sometimes. I've seen my Boo once in six years, cuz they wont let me, and I know it may be longer, although I don't give up hope. So when people cry about small things, I know they really feel pain, but they are, still, in relative terms, lucky. Hows it going Tricia? Are you guys out of your minds excited? And if I may ask, is he free and clear when he comes out? I worry, after 20 years, Boo is Still going to have 5 years surpervision. Penaties imposed were bases on MM's for crack, although it wuzn't, and I really worry about him being so angry he say's F them, and then, sooner or later. I mean I violated my own parole in (89 whoa, almost said 69, not that old, yet!) so I understand the difficulties only too well. Of course, I'd wait, it isn't about me. Still, I worry enough now, and going back, all I can say is, that level of resulting anger, I don't know... kreepsgirl 01-22-2004, 11:45 AM Thanks guys for your responses! Like I said before I plan on talking with you a lot now. It is hard to read or hear about people who are almost home or have 5 years or less in their sentences when my man has completed 1 year out of his 15! Thanks again! Eboniizs 01-22-2004, 12:01 PM I wasn't trying to rub it it anyone face that my guy has less that 2 weeks to go, I just wanted to lend my support, being I was sitting in the courtroom when OJ was sentenced to 35 years, and have remained with him the entire 17 years he's been in.. I know what you all are feeling and the long road you face. I just wanted to let you all know I'm here for you to lend my support, as I've traveled the entire road you all face. 24jf 01-22-2004, 01:10 PM Monica -- I don't think anything was directed at you specifically, I know it is hard in some of the other forums where girls are whining over a year or less. Don't get me wrong either - that is a long time to be away from a loved one, but more bearable than 5, 10, 15+ years . I think it is wonderful that you have had the strength to stand by and support your man for 17 years. So far I have supported my friend for three of his 13 years. I am hoping for parole, but he doesn't seem to think he will be paroled. This site is truly a god send and I know I appreciate you offer to lend support. Please be sure to keep us posted on your progress once OJ is home. You will both be in my thoughts and prayers. Hopefully, the hardest times are behind you both and you'll never have to look back!! ((HUGS)) Joy lovinbilly4ever 01-22-2004, 05:05 PM hi & welcome to pto :D mine will be coming up on year # 11 one of these months. (i still need some clarification on WHEN he committed the crime, when he got picked up & when he got sentenced, MY understanding is apparently WAY OFF!!! lol must be having a horrible blond moment :D ) anyways, I have only been w/him for 3 years. so like im not like monica over there where she has been around for 16+ years. although i think i qualify since he has been in 10 years. ;) although these 3 years--have been the best & worst days of my life (well, not worst but, some of the more unpleasent days of my life)...but, its worth it. :) anyways, sorry to cut this short, mailman is here. WOOWEE!!! monica im so jealous of you, 2 more weeks...THEN you wont have to stalk the mailman anymore!! aww, that will be the day. lol toodles mel |
