Anybody out there have a boyfriend/girlfriend/spouse or child that has been convicted of child abuse? Assuming that the recommended counseling and therapy are really available, can they change? In my view my son's behavior did not rise to the level of child abuse but the judge thought different. At any rate, it would be better if my son could learn a warmer more understanding way to parent.

Hi, My boyfriend is in prison for violating his probation. He was on Probation because supposedly when he was 17 years old he shook his son. His son is now 4, but very lifeless he looks like a vegetable. Now i wouldn't believe for one minute that he was capable of something like this.
