Hi everybody! I have just joined PT and have been reading the posts about the Sayle unit. It has put me at ease regarding how my son will be treated. He was just sent there this week from county jail after revoking his probation. Can anybody tell me how long before we can visit him, and since I know he is there can I start writing now or does he have to write first? His birthday is this week and unfortunately they sent him before he received his cards and we got to tell him bye-hate the fact they give you no warning about when they are going. Thanks for any information!

Hi Texas MOM. My fiance and I have about 28 days left until he goes to the ttc. So far I have nothing but high praises to speak about the progam at sayle. Now to answer your ?'s you may write him now you'll need to make sure and put his TDC# on the envelope. You can find his TDC # on the web along with the address to Sayle. He can have visits after two weeks if he has put together his visiting list. If you have any addittional ?'s PM me.

Hi Texas Mom27! My son just got out of Sayle about 2 weeks ago. He is at the HWH now for 90 days. You can go to I think it is Rosies and order him some paper and envelopes. You can put his name and TDC# on them, so he will be able to write. Everyone at Sayle are very nice and very helpful. I think it was a positive experience for my son. They will forward any letters or cards from where he was at to Sayle. My son was in for his birthday also. I tried to write and send pictures of things going on, so would feel like he did not miss so much. Any event I would take pictures and send to him. I also sent him the Sunday paper, so it would give him a little something to read and keep up with things going on. I think he enjoyed getting it and would share when he was through. When you visit, you can go to the family meeting, and spend an extra hour with him, but you have to go early, they only allow so many people. We just went a few times, it is good to go at least a couple of times, you hear different speakers. My son wasnt really a big fan of it. He said he was in so many classes during the week, on weekends, he would rather to just visit with us. YOu can go to Jpay.com and set up an account and put money on his account if you want to, so he can purchase tolietries, food, shoes, ect...I am trying to remember everything, I would have thought I never would forget all of that, but it already seems so long ago...Try not to worry, he is in good hands.
