Could anyone explain what the Quarter (-ly) month order is?

How does it work? What type of things do our men need?

I have no idea and please don't tell me to call FL DOC cuz they don't have any answers at all. I wonder what they need? I know my man needs glasses and shoes, even though he won't tell me. How much I can send? When this happens do they let us know?

Thanks for the help!

Well I have no clue what "Quarterly "means in DOC language.I dont know alot- hes only been back in for 6 months. He can have up to $1000.00 in his account. But if someone sends him too much- in his case it was $500.00, it gets a 10 day hold put on it because its a high amount. NOT a good thing. I believe he can spend up to $100.00 a week. I used to try and put in $40.00 a week according to my budget. Sometimes more/less. If hes in North/Central Fla. he needs long johns. If he smokes, he needs tobacco. If he wants to write, you can mail stamps- PRISON only, not jail-or he can buy them, and he needs paper , envelopes, pen. He can get snacks to eat. Thats about all I can think of & I THINK my information is all accurate. I call (thanks to a PTO lady! )- Inmate Bank Fund to check his account balance- toll free- 1-866-209-7250 in Tallahassee. And I have ...so far, had only really nice helpful people at the prisons I spoke to.Sometimes the information wasnt accurate, but they were very pleasant to me. I deal with North Fla. They answer all my stupid questions, because things have changed since I did this routine. The PTO ladies have helped me BIG time. This website has been my life line. Theres different prices at different Institutions for stuff in Florida, from what I can tell. Other ladies here will help you Im sure.Hang in there! August~

They can only spend 65 per week :(
My guy explained why they put a hold on the $ if it is over a deposit of a certain amount. They actually changed it to $200 and up. See they make $ off of it. They put it in the reserve fund aka bank and get interest on it...THIEVES!
Quarterly is 4 times a year or every 3 months when they can order sneakers and "big" ticket things.

AHHA! Thats exactly what Paypal does, ( and you need it if you sell on ebay to make faster money) they use the money sitting in their (your) account to invest in (I think) mutual funds, then they will also try to sell you their funds-- very cagey, like making money out of air- we should be so smart! Thanks for the info Bella!!

I have more questions . . . . can someone help?

I have a deposit form here in front of me and this might sound stupid but I don't know what the document number is? I have always just used Western Union for sending cash but I figured I could save myself the $$ that it costs to send by just snail mailing it. So can someone tell me what the document number is and where I find it?
