How many of you are irratated that today is a holiday which means no mail?The only thing that keeps me going through out the day is the thought that I might get a letter when I get home! But not today! :pissed:

I've been reminding myself all day that there is no mail today and it sucks, but I'm sure my man will enjoy because he will get a really long letter.

Why does there have to be no mail on every single holiday?! :) I mean come on if everythings still open come on deliver some mail!! They are already off every Sunday what else do they need? :) GEEZ I mean really there's women out here waiting on mail already!! And not too mention the mail at least with my mail person will be twice as late tomorrow!!HEE! HEE!

It's great to see I'm not the only one obessed about the mail. Everyone else in my house could care less whether the mail comes or not, probably just bills anyway they say. But me? Oh happy day when the mail man comes along with a letter from my beloved. Today does suck, the day was a little sadder without the prospect of mail. "good" mail as I call it. Hang in there ladies, this day is almost over.

Yeah, how dare the USPS and the prison mailroom staff take a break?? THE NERVE!! Just because I had the day off--they should get it, too?? Humpf!! I think I'm gonna write a letter to my Congresswoman!! Like she cares!! :rolleyes:

I don't get why they get so many days off. Don't they understand how very important the mail is? I don't think they care. I'm not so worried about me getting a letter, but I make sure my baby has a letter everyday. Today he didn't get one and he was so bummed. It makes his day. we need to try and change the mail system. This is nuts. They get so many darn days off. what makes them so special? Oh yeah, they're the gov't. Poop.

it sucks...especially since john isn't calling home but MAYBE once a week..he's trying to save me money so i can visit for valentine's day...luckily it falls on a saturday, he only gets visits on weekends..

good thing you all do not live in canada we only get mail monday to friday and there are a lot of times we go 4 days without mail, over xmas we had no mail 5 days in a row and let me tell you it was horrid ,, a day without mail is a day without sunshine :)

I guess I'm fortunate in that I got two things from Nick on Friday and two on Saturday, so that held me over :)

But I agree, some holidays aren't even celebrated/recognized by people, so I really don't think the mail should stop. The major holidays I can see, but not the smaller ones. I couldn't go to the bank today, or get any mail, or anything :(

Guess we just have to re-read our old mail! LOL.

So that explains why I didn't get one piece of mail today. I completely forgot that the mailman was off. I was bummed out. Hopefully tommorrow all of our mailboxes will be filled with letters from our boys. I wish!

I usually try to remind my guy in letters he'll get prior to the holidays; remember, no mail on monday because of whatever, so he'll be prepared. if it's this big of a deal for us, imagine how it is for them! Well maybe we'll get a lot of mail this week ladies ...
