I had a question...is there someone you could write or call to see why the inmate's parole was denied?

Check with the actual board who voted the case. You can call review/release, but they won't usually tell you, even if you get a parole analyst (512-406-5202). You can also try the Parole OMBUDSMAN's office...512-406-5795!
