Has anyone thought about an Oregon get together.. I just met a woman through one of the yahoo groups I'm in, that is here in Portland.. Just wondering if anyone would like to get together and talk and just socialize.. Let me know maybe we can plan something..

I think it would be great fun, but I probably couldn't attend since I don't drive and I'm way down south here.

One way to meet other Oregon inmate family members is to participate in Oregon CURE, a non-profit organization that advocates for improvements to the Oregon prison system. They have meetings for families in the Portland and Salem areas, I believe, including orientations for folks new to the system and workshops for those with family members about to be released, as well as other meetings.
