I just thought I'd share this. Yesterday morning while waiting outside the visitor's center (a short line had formed, but nobody minded) there was an elderly woman with a cane standing in line several folks behind me. It was fairly hot outside, even at 10:00 a.m. One of the male guards inside the visitor's office noticed her, and asked her to come inside to sit down and wait for her turn. It was a simple courtesy, but such a relief for her to get off her feet. Then when the woman she was with came back from her car, he called to her and moved her up in line to where the elderly woman's position had been, which was very appropriate and fair.

There are angels among us ..... and I thank God for them every day.

It IS rewarding to see acts of courtesy and kindness -- see so much pettiness and all-full-of-ourselves every day.

Thank you for posting this.

That was a nice thing for him to do. I am sure his turn will come for someone to show a random act of kindness to him as well. I believe in treating others as you would want to be treated. Also, when you do good (or bad) it comes back to you. Thanks for sharing.

Hey I was there! LOL I had about 3 ppl in front of me when she walked up and the guard had her go in and sit down. Were you the one who came back b/c you forgot to pay for pictures? I was with 2 women and 2 kids. Yeah that was real nice of him. Where do you drive from? We usually carpool and live in Fort Worth.

Fort Worth is a long drive from there! whew! I'm happy to have the 'short' drive I do ... just two hours away. She was two people behind me.

Thanks for posting this. Sometimes the guards are really sweet. Yestersday.. they where kinda in a mood about the property stuff. Since I asked about property my boyfriend left for me to pick up. The where like its not here.. I was like yes it is. Can't u just check for me again. Well... they where like no. I wasn't the only one having trouble getting stuff. Finally.. Sgt. Miles.. who was at least nice enough went and looked in the property room and gosh our stuff was there. It doesn't hurt to just go check again sometimes other ppl overlook it. But usually.. the guards are nice to me.

I went yestersday to visit and I miss my boyfriend so much already. Our 2nd anniversary together is tomorrow. :)
