That is If I remember right ! My man is about 7 hours away from me and we tried to get him moved to Winfeild a few times but with no luck . So I hope all go's well for you guys ! And good luck jandb 07-27-2009, 06:05 AM why wouldnt they transfer him is it hard to get a hardship transferred Brigen 07-31-2009, 05:59 AM Well we wanted him to go to winfield because that is only a couple of hours away from me but they told him no . For one he was on a list to go to Osawotomie which he only ended up being there a few months before the closed and then once he was back he put in to move again but was turned down . I am not sure if that was because at that time they were closing prisions like left and right ?!? Have you all had any luck yet ?? Did he already file ? ilikesta 10-23-2009, 09:37 AM if you have a medical reason, get your doctor to write a letter directly to his unit team counselor stating that you (his family member) is not well to travel long distance to visit him. that might get him moved quick...if it is not truly a "hardship" he just has to request the move at every 120 day review...they will often take into account moving him closer to his family as justified for moving him |
