as of last month, my hubbys appeal says....

(summary disposition of sentencing appeal/)

and now says...

(response- / state)

was curious if this meant that mabe its towards the end of an appeal?

Nope. Your husbands appeal brief was not even filed until July 8th, what you are seeing is the state filing their response on the 13th. I have been out too long to know how slowly things are moving at this point, but I would expect another 4-6 months before a decision is made.
