View Full Version : Does Anyone know anything about BAY C.I. in Panama City?? littlewing 01-15-2004, 08:14 PM Hi, my husband just got shipped there today. :cuffs: Anyone know about: guards- attitudes, visits- how strict, directions to there, food quality, medical care?? Good bad or ugly, I want it all, if you know~ Thanks onyx306 01-16-2004, 08:21 AM I know this... my sweetie says it is the "sweetest" camp in the state. He says everyone wants to go there. Mostly b/c it's air conditioned :D. He says cause its private that it is more laid back and is just much better in every aspect. Hope you man likes it there, tho he should! He should be very happy he got to go there! :D Guys are lining up to be sent there! littlewing 01-16-2004, 11:44 AM Bonita-- HUGE smile on my face!!! THANK YOU! I talked to his Class Officer this morning- she hasnt seen him yet, but she was very nice. Im sure this place was one of his preferences, he wanted to do Data Entry if he doesnt make Probation on his VOP. You made my day!!! Have you visited there before- do you know a cheap safe Motel nearby? Its 3 hours away, but Im not a morning person-- 10 years ago I did the 4 O'clock thing, but.... LOL- not now. God thank you so much for writing back! August~~ onyx306 01-16-2004, 11:51 AM As far as motels go, you can keep going down 231 towards Panama City and you run right into a handful of motels, and they are about 20 minutes from Bay CI. plus they are right by the mall and resturants etc. Good luck with everything! Be careful when you go visit! By the way, where are from? littlewing 01-16-2004, 12:23 PM I live in Perry- 3 hours away. Home of Taylor CI-blechhh. So theyre strict at vistis at Bay? Like I said its been 10 years since I did this and you could get away with--no pun intended-- murder if you wanted to back then.( at Blountstown) No applications and all that BS. On visits you could bring photos, pen, paper, they didnt watch you so close- especially at 7:00 AM-- but we were always pretty good anyway. You could just do nice stuff like lay on the grass with his head on your legs. I lived in PC for a year- but I know it has changed. I will have to get out a map again-- its down 98 I know.Hopefully on Jan 28 hes gonna make his parole review- he had good support at his hearing with them & Im the letter writer from hell. August~ onyx306 01-16-2004, 12:30 PM Bay is right off of 231 on the left in the industrial park... I forget the name of the road tho. I lived in PC for two years but moved back home (Chattahoochee) when Trav got locked up. But I work in Tallahassee. I am not sure how lax the visits are, but my guess is they are. I wish things are still the way you described them! It would be wonderful to have visits like that! Take care and I hope you have a great visit, and don't get lost! :D littlewing 01-16-2004, 12:56 PM Chatahoochie, yeah I cruised through there, but I blinked & missed it. Ol' Alan Jackson didnt though! You arent far from me- occaisionly-- VERY occaisionally- I go to Poseys- if theyre having a rocknroll band-- RARE!Good oysters though. They have a website you can check it- Poseys.com or net or Org. No I wont get lost, I will even go up to peoples houses & ask directions if I have to-- 5 ft & 108 lbs of fearlessness! Thanks again~ onyx306 01-16-2004, 01:04 PM Oh girl... now you done went and got me hungry for oysters! :D littlewing 01-16-2004, 01:14 PM My weekends are always free so far- they just got my application. maybe wanna meet there some Sunday afternoon? I will PM you my phone#. I will go eat some there in a heartbeat- got a good car & little bit of cash-- I dont drink anymore- but dont mind if anyone else does- Beer & oysters are the shit! love those Appilachicola oysters-- they do them with 3 cheeses melted on them + steamed & raw.
