Aaron and I have moved into the next phase of our relationship with IDOC. He was transferred today from Oakdale to Ft. Dodge finally! Hopefully I'll be able to see him very soon (it's been 43 days :-( ) so I was wondering if I can get a headstart on it by checking out rules and regs. Anyone know where I can find ANY info about Ft. Dodge? Thanks much!

Dont know any rules for Fort Dodge but here is some info about it.
Ft. Dodge Correctional Facility
Ft. Dodge (Webster County)
Medium security
515-574-4700
372 Staff
1,160 Inmates ±

The Fort Dodge Correctional Facility is a 1,250-bed medium security correctional facility for adjudicated youthful male offenders that opened in April, 1998. The facility is located on 60 acres of land in southern Fort Dodge. The facility consists of administration and treatment buildings, five inmate living units, power plant and warehouse structures. The campus housing plan utilizes a unit management form of supervision to provide opportunity for greater inmate control and supervision at housing units. The facility is designed to provide for effective and efficient staff control and supervision of inmates. Primary perimeter security is provided by a double fence system with electronic detection.

Many inmates participate in the Rivers Program, a highly structured intense program intended to facilitate adjustment to life and employment situations. Inmates are offered a full range of treatment programs as well as work opportunities, including private sector jobs at an Iowa Prison Industries work program inside the fence

Basically when you go to fort dodge to visit just bring your id and a zip lock bag full of your change. Then don't wear anything that shows your belly nothing tight ... or short or anything like that basically your best off if you wear a tee shirt or hoody... and jeans... just yesterday they wouldn't let this girl in because her pants were somewhat see through... if you don't meet their dress codes they usually just send you to walmart down the street. but your best bet is a tee and jeans.... ttyl

Hey thanks! Although now I'm going on 3 months at this so Im getting pretty good at it. On Valentines Days I had to load a girl a jacket out of my car so she could get in. When she bent over to pick her son up a little of her back showed and they were honestly going to make her leave. She asked if she could tuck her shirt in and they just said no., leave....after about 3 hours of waiting! I interupted and asked if she could go in with a long suit jacket on. I got a dirty look but the answer was yes thank god! I really felt bad for her!
