i need a lot of advice and a lot of support...

my husband is doing 25-50 years for his 3rd crime. now he isnt on a third striker law here in new york because he would of got 25 to life. the crime was considered robbery/kidnapping... no one was hurt/nothing was taken. this i swear...
his 2nd conviction he was doing time for since 91 where he pleated guilty and was set to come home in 2003. then another case came about in 1995 they bought him in for questioning and for so long we didnt know that he would have a case or not. in 1997 he got the last conviction...

he did have a gun on him but wouldnt of used it. he was just being a cowboy. he was on drugs back in 90/91 and paid a huge price for it. (long story) ...

he has been clean for so many years and is doing great. I got him an appeal attorney in 99 and his parents paid 7,000.00 and the lawyer never did anything. another friend paid 20,000 to another lawyer and we lost the appeal. i am trying to get back the 7 grand from this other lawyer that never did a thing for us. we need the money so bad now, his parents said we can have it.

now i heard a coaliation is forming that wants violent offenders to never come home. how can that be? my husband didnt kill anyone? he just made mistakes and didnt hurt anyone. shouldnt each case be looked at differently?

i hate this and lose sleep over this...

Yes, they should all be looked at differently and individually as each case is different. Hopefully this coalition will not be able to get off the ground...

Yeah thats kinda scary to me too. My fiances case is an accident and he is now considered a violent offender and wont be released until 2007 as he was just sentenced in October. Anyone have any info where I can read about this coalition.
