Does any have or have had a loved one in Pulaski State Prison for women?
My fiancee just got tranfered there and has been a nervous wreck since getting there. She says it's a bad place and is very scared there. Last week she came down with some kind of flu or something, she told me when she went to medical they had her laying on the floor for the day. I called inmate affairs about that and they said that was the dicretion of the prison. Burning up with a fever and laying on a concrete floor, does not make sense. I've been there for visitation and to me it seems like most the other institutions. Just wondering what any one else experience has been.

Hi my mom is in pulaski and has been there for over a yr now and not to scare you but the medical attention they recieve is a joke. My mom got real sick and they told her it was a cold and told her she'd be fine. Well a few days later she started to devlope a rash and now we have found out that she has some kinda staph infecton called MRSA staph. She is always scared to tell me anything b/c she knows how I am amd she knows I worry so I get all this info second hand from my grandmother. I do know that most of the other women there are very nice and my mom hasn't had any problems with the other women . Tell your friend that if she can find my mom her name is lori maybe they can be of support for each other. She is very tiny with blonde hair. Very nice lady/ ( well I have to say that she is my mom lol) If you have any other questions or if u just wanna chat send me a pm

I am a pen pal in that prison and she said that it is awful too. She has told me that the medical care is zero to none in that place. My son in in Augusta State Medical Prison and even though its medical, they don't get good treatment either. I figure that they are all like that. I wrote my friend at Pulsaki around Christmas time and haven't heard from her yet. That makes me nervous because she always writes me back promptly. I hate it that your loved one is there and I will keep you both in my prayers. If you need someone to talk to feel free to pm me. I will find out all I can from my pen pal and keep you informed. I only can get on line on the weekends because I have to borrow a computer until mine is fixed, but I check my mail and this site every Friday. Hang tough. She is going to need you to be strong.
