Being that Virginia is a commonwealth and downright conservative especially in matters of the correctional system I seriously would vot no this won't happen.....even though it is a logical thing to do to decrease the budget deficit etc.....those "good ole boyz" in Richmond ain't gonna reinstate parole.......hell it's enough to get them to last a full session!!!

there is plenty of talk in the news on many states thinking of things like early release and reducing prison populatation to save money california the biggest has even had sup court tell the state they had to do so it has been blocked so far, and very debated, Va on the other hand is the only state that is not in this news . i dont know wiether its because they are just watching to see what the other states do or if they are not going to ever consider it.

we all know if we are really in a crisis with budget the state cant afford to let inmates out were would they get all the phone money from then

They aren't even releasing a lot of people who are eligible for parole....crazy logic!

forget about parole, give us 65%!

I think that is crazy about not letting people who made parole out! Hubby says there are quite a few in his dorm.
