Hi. I am coming from Virginia to visit a friend that is located at the Central Arizona Correctional Facility. I have never been there and I am looking for what to wear, what is allowed, not allowed, and any other information.
I was informed they do not frisk you when you arrive, but you have to walk through a metal detector and that if you go off you will not be allowed to come in. Is this true?
I was planning on wearing denim, but was informed I could not. Is this true?
I have 2 other females going with me and one male. I know the one female will probably wear yellow pants and a white shirt. Is this ok?
Please any information that someone may have on this I would greatly appreciate. Thanks!

the general rules for visitation is located at this website http://www.azcorrections.gov/adc/policy_inclusion.asp?menuName=/all_includes/custommenus/di.htm&fileName=/Policies/900/911.htm
I would copy and paste it but there is just so much information there
although some of the Arizona prisons are allowing visitors to wear denim from what I understand, I would not chance it. its better to have a hassle free visit.

I was there in April and you do walk through a metal detector-If you are wearing an underwire bra and it sets it off, they have you walk through a second time with your arms criss crossing your chest. I wear an underwire bra but its hard plastic. Try a sports bra if you are worried.
I wear my Levi's all the time there and have had no problems at all. They just dont want you wearing khaki or orange lol...
If you have further questions, just PM me....Good Luck and things will be fine....Hi. I am coming from Virginia to visit a friend that is located at the Central Arizona Correctional Facility. My Husband is in CACF the most important thing to know is the metal detector alerts most strongly to bras. Do not wear underwire and even the simplest if hooks can set if off at times its better to not take any chances and wear a sports bra. This weekend I watched an elderly mother turned away because the hooks on the back of her bra wouldn't clear. Basic rules are to dress modestly no orange, gray, brown, tan or khakis. Collarbones and midriffs must be covered. Keep jewery minimal: wedding ring, watch, religious, ear rings. Personal Identification, vehicle key and 20.00 in quarters per visitor in a clear plastic bag is all you can bring in. The seats are hard so I bring in a sweater even on the hottest summer day and sit on it.
