View Full Version : HTML Code now allowed in Signatures David 03-28-2002, 10:10 PM I have turned on the html code option in signatures for any of you that like to use it. sherri13 03-28-2002, 10:12 PM pardon my ignorance, but what does that mean? sherri David 03-28-2002, 11:33 PM I don't know.. I just threw the switch to the "ON" position.. :p Actually.. It allows you to link to add little html tag'd counters, pictures & pages.. There are a couple people here that I have seen using HTML coding in their sig's so I thought I would turn it on.. (Dodging the question - :p ) The best way is probably to show you.. I need to find some to add it.. Please bear with me! :) sherri13 03-28-2002, 11:45 PM I am a inquisitive woman, but also a patient one ( is my nose growing yet?) :) David 03-31-2002, 10:17 AM Sherri, here is an example of the "html tag" being turned on in the signature. http://www.prisontalk.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=261 Go down to JimsBabyGirl's post and look at the bottom. There is a little counter telling how long until her loved one comes home. This is done with html coding. It will show up in every one of her posts. When you first log onto www.prisontalk.com (on the main page) you will see a little globe icon at the very bottom left hand corner. This is a tracking icon of the company we use to tell how many people visit and where they come from. I added this icon's "html tag" to the page when I created it and it appears there. I did not upload any picture to PrisonTalk for it. Whenever someone goes to www.prisontalk.com it actually gets that picture from some other place. Thus, it isn't on our server. Same goes for what you see in these signatures. They basically link someplace else where the info resides.. Did I make any sense? David Shortie 03-31-2002, 03:54 PM Well thanks for clearing that up. LOL sherry you were not the only one who was wondering what was going on here. so don't worry sherri13 03-31-2002, 07:38 PM you are SO good at explaining things!!! sherri Goody's Girl 04-07-2002, 04:07 PM FEd-Ex, excuse me, but at the bottom of my screen, it says html code is OFF. thought you turned it on???
