Has anyone used the video visiting they have @ Perryville? I believe it's avail @ Tucson too, but Avondale is closer to me.
I won't be able to visit my husband very often since they moved him out of state and was thinking of requesting one of the visits this way.

Thanks for any input and/or advice!

My guy was in Oklahome for 6 months and i visited nearly every weekend until he was moved bak here. the video visits at perryville are alrite much similar to video visits at the county jails except the room they do them in is very small with about 6 computers total..sometimes its hard to hear becuz other people are loud or have a couple kids with them and it sux because they only have one set of headphones and microphone so only one person can talk at a time but i guess that doesnt matter if you are going alone. They do the visits sat and sunday starting at 8 and I believe going until 3..I suggest going early morning if you can...the visits are only 30 mins but hey its better than nothing rite? The C.O.'S at Perryville were very nice..prob the nicest Ive dealt with..there were a couple time I would run in there at the very time my visit was supposed to start and since they knew i was there every weekend they would jst let me go in... I suggest calling monday morning to get your visit becuz they fill up fast sumtimes by tuesday afternoon they are already filled up at perryville...also its hard to get in touch with sumone it usually jst goes strait to voicemail but jst keep calling until u get thru!!! I hope this is helpful to you..if you have any questions let me knw...

I tried to do video visits when my son was in Indiana. It was one bad experience after another. They had 8 computers set up and the 3 times I was there they were never all working. Even though 8 people were scheduled. The visitation CO and I spent one entire visit trying to get the microphone working. It finally worked the last 5 minutes of the visit and "too bad" my 30 minutes was over then. Another time, I had to wait 10 minutes before they even brought my son out to visit - even though they knew well ahead of time I'd be there. I think I had one visit that went ok. All in all I don't think it was a good experience. I had to drive 30 minutes to get there and 30 minutes to get home. I have found I would rather talk on the phone to him. Probably costs less to have him call for 30 minutes than the cost of gas. Since my experience was so poor, I just assumed others had felt that way too. I see that AngelBaby seemed to have a good experience, so my case may be an isolated one.
