I am a victim of dv and recently talked to the DA. She wants to know what I want to happen to him when he goes to court in a couple of weeks. I don't know what my options are. They say they don't want me in court so I'll just have to wait to hear what the outcome is. There is currently an OP in place so I can't contact him or find out what his plea is going to be. I live in NY. Any suggestions, thoughts?

Ask for whatever the sentence for assault is. Ask for a permanent order. You can ask to be notified before he is let out.
