Hi! Kev was moved to Hays County, and I was just curious if anyone had any experience with that jail/court system, and if they'd like to share. So far all I know is that the food is yuk! (says Kev) ha ha. Thanks.

That sounds very familiar, is it just south or so of Austin, TX.? I think they took me through there for federal pre-trial custody before I caught the con-air to Houston.

What do you need know? It is right down the road a piece from me. About 14 miles, Let me know if I can help. I can tell you that this county is alot better than most and tougher than others. It is located in San Marcos, TX home of SWT University, about 32 miles South of Austin. Has a new sheriff, and a private facilites.

I am just interested if anyone has ever dealt with the DA or the judges down there, and what their reputations are.

I can answer that as well. 1st let me ask if this is a federal charge, state or county? If county or state; Does the term Good Ole Boy mean anything to you? Tough................but consistent, if that makes se sense....................If it is Federal. The Federal boys do not play in Texas..........that have scorecards...............

Thanks Christine... He's already been sentenced for his federal charge and is at Hays County to go before the judge for a violation of probation on a state charge from 1994....

KEvNDina,
How much fed time did he get? IT's good that he has already been sentenced in the feds and is getting his state time taken care of.. He should be able to get it all eaten up and do his time in the feds unless they really go after him or something..
