I've heard the same thing My girl also is a violent offender. From what I've read and heard the reduced time will not include violent offenders. Lets hope it does. Anyway right noow the reduced time is a rumor and has not been put in place. The only thing I can say lets wait and see.

pssinky - what state are you asking about? This post needs to be moved into its proper state forum but I need to know if you are asking about Kentucky or some other state...?

My guy has said the same thing. He is in for a drug charge. I hope this is true for the state of California. My 2 year old daughter misses her dad so much and so do I.

Does anyone know if the reduced time would apply to someone, who had jumped parole and would now have to go back? I think he would be considered voilent Ihave no clue, it was carjacking with a gun but it really wasn't it was helping a women with a 40 ozer in his shirt and his word against hers. he did 2 or 3 years now he will have 2 left. Does anyone now if that will apply to him? His parents try to keep us away I am older than him, I am looking for him now.

i think it applies in many states, i have heard it is being proposed in VA - sometime in January - and in VA - supposedly- violent offenders are eligible as well.

I wish that all states would take the time to look at individual cases. If they really want to cut their budgets they would probably see that they could let many have reduced time. Just my opinion.

i also had a question about violent offenders getting cut down to 65%. my fiance is a violent offender and he's saying that there is a law that is taking effect in nc and that he and a bunch of the guys are getting time cuts.

does anyone know about the law that's supposedly being put into action? and if so, is it everywhere or in certain states? i've looked and i can't find anything. it would mean so much if someone could help me out.

it doesn't matter how much you know! if you know anything, please reply!

thank you sooo much!
