My daugther had her second court hearting today and she was given an offer. She pleads guilty to the bigger charge and they drop the other charges.

We accepted because her lawyer advised us that she would in no way be found innocent. So, she is receiving a years probation and if she gets into no trouble at all for that year they will drop the felony also.

I am happy about that. I just cringed when she had to admit her guilt to the charge.

I want to thank Life2thesequel and Pammie for the helpful advice. I especially want to thank Barb..who is always my shoulder to lean on. :)

The judge was very courteous and made sure my daughter understood everything that was going on...right down to if she knew she had the right to remain silent.

Now, I just hope this will open her eyes and keep her out of trouble. She is a good kid...just was hanging with the wrong crowd.

Hi Cindy ;) I have been waiting to hear from you but I never thought to look for your post :) I am so happy that things went well for your daughter. I am sorry it took me so long to find out what happened. I am going to call you tomorrow night so I hope you are home. So true. He wrote me about this and he did help me with the situation. Yes, everything turned out well. I am hopeful this will be a once in a lifetime thing and I won't have to deal with this crap again. lol..I don't handle it well. :D love you!

Cindy, I'm glad things turned out with your daughter.Like you said hopefully she learned her lesson. I'm glad you talked to the big smiling guy about the situation as sometimes (they) give the best advice.
