Does anyone know how I go about requesting to speak to the parole board on behalf of my husband? I have already sent letters of reference from myself and lots of others.

I followed up my phone request with a letter requesting same. The board is NOT obligated to call you or have you in for a personal interview....but I found if you make enough noise....sometimes, they are compelled to grant your wish....! kath dawna26 01-06-2004, 12:44 PM He has already been interviewed but his papers haven't made it to the board. Would this delay us getting an answer if I made the request. Also, would I have to drive there or do they come to me? Trulykath 01-06-2004, 02:21 PM You need to call the board and ask to speak to the first voting member, prior to them rendering a decision on his file. You can either go to them personally, or request a phone interview. kath dawna26 01-06-2004, 03:00 PM do I have to wait until the board actually receives his file? Trulykath 01-06-2004, 03:34 PM NO...I would document your wishes before they get the file....that way, they will know you want to talk to them....OTHERWISE...they may vote on it...not knowing you wanted to speak with them.... kath |
