My husband has went through so many different foods now he says his first night home he wants bacon cheesburgers and homeade frenchfries for supper with cherry cheesecake for dessert he want to rent all kinds of movies he has missed then while watching movies he wants to eat a meat lovers pizza from pizza hut so have any of you set up the menu for the first night home?

We stopped at McDonalds on the way home, and he had a double quarter pounder with fries and a chocolate milkshake. That night, we went to Applebee's with his parents ... and he had steak. And sex, of course, was on the dessert menu!!! :D

My honey wants to have it all. He changes his mind every other month if not more. So far we've been at fried chicken and all the side dishes for almost 6 months. But we still have awhile to go, so I have a feeling it'll change. No matter what he wants, I'll make sure he has it for dinner his first night home. The guys just have to remember that they're not used to all the grease and stuff, so they'll be the ones to pay the consequences. Not to gross anyone out. Sorry if I did. I had to remind my honey about that. He says he doesn't care. He wants food. His wish is my command. = )

All my son wants is Fish..and More fish and More fish. Guess ill have to have it overnight shopped from maine. haddock he loves!..lol. But he said any of Moms home cooking would make him the happiest.

He's one of my very favorites. I love him. He expresses feelings in a way that no one else can.

Dale hasn't mentioned what he wants when he gets home but he did tell me he wanted a cheeseburger from McDonald's when I come for our 3 day visit.

Chuckie has wanted the same thing for over a year when he gets home.......meatloaf and fried potatoes! And of course you can imagine what he wants for dessert!! And as JJsGB said HIS WISH IS MY COMMAND!!!

He asked, repeatedly, for ham and lima beans.

Go figure!

And that's what he got. (I had made a batch the day before I drove down to get him.) :)

His first few weeks home, I went through all of his favorites.

My boyfriend wants 6 pound of fried shrimp!

Charlie wants Taco Bell! As I'm picking him up at 9:00 AM, I don't think that's a very wise breakfast choice, but he wants ANY fast food restaurant, but Taco Bell for dinner! LOL I, too, told him, he'd better be careful the first few days, maybe i'd better stock up on all kinds of Gastrointestinal remedies! :D

Oh goodness, Travis has a huge feast planned for me to cook, which I will gladly do! He wants fried chicken, collard greens, mashed potatos n gravy, brocoli n cheese, stuffed bell peppers, roast beef with potatos and carrots, and lasagna, oh and german chocolate cake! I guess I'll be busy cooking for a while! He also said to NEVER fix any sort of bean, he is tired of eating them every day now! :D

When Skip came home...he didn't really tell me what he wanted...he told me what he DID NOT WANT!!!

He wanted meat....sliced fresh fruits & vegetables....food you could sink your teeth into....seafood....he rarely ate in the chow hall....he ate mostly out of comissary.

OJ has also changed his mind about a zillion times. But one things for certain it has to be home cooking. He HATES fast food, so I'll be busy. Right now the menu is catfish, greens, jiffy corn bread, and cake. But with 20some days left to go, that's likey to change a few more times LOL

OMG!! We've been talking about this for weeks...first of all, he wants the breakfast bar at Shoney's...then 3 stuffed crust pizzas from Pizza Hut...then Long John Silvers...then he wants his mom to cook a huge meal...

I told him that he would be puking the first day...he doesn't care...he just wants away from that prison food.

However, after that...he's determined to do all the cooking as long as I do the dishes...He cooked all the time when he was home, and he's great at it...but we will be too busy **WINK** the first day to have time for him to cook. LOL

Oh My onyx306, you will be cooking a feast... hahaha..

Mel told me he wants my Mac and Cheese(his favorite) and the usual fixings we make when we BBQ... haha that's alot of fixings.. but anything he wants.. I shall do...

Steak, steak and steak!

I loved reading all the notes about what the 'first meal back home' would be. it made me very hungry (:)!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and gave me some ideas! i must ask my friend what he would like. since he's an experienced cook, he may want to make it himself. i LOVED the ' what he doesn't want' list!! hahahahahaha!! right on!!! i want to be at all of your homes when you make all this great food....if there's any left!

mel has alomost the whole first night home thing down to the T, but he hasnt hit the food part yet....knowing how much he LOVES food im gonna be in trouble!

I asked Jason this a while ago. He told me when I was there Christmas that he wants "REAL roast beef" sandwiches with lettuce and tomato and mayonnaise on homemade bread. He knows I bake bread so he wants the real deal.

Well, my Baby said, when I asked, ...me! but after that, sweet and sour shrimp. I'm SO miserable, now that we're back to 300 minutes, that isn't even enough time to plan a meal.

His meal request:

Mountain Trout Fish (fried)

4 Cheese Macaroni (baked)

Pepperoni & Spinach Bread (home made)

Garlic Spinach

Dessert - Sweet Potato Cheese Cake (home made)

This is his favorite meal, and he could eat it everyday. Sometimes we would order out or go to a restaurant; however, I know his preference is a home cook meal. As much as I loathe (even though I am an excellent gourmet cook) cooking, I enjoyed doing this for him. He knows he's loved, because I do not cook at all. :-)

I must admit, the break from cooking has not been that bad. :-)

I haven't made it in years so I reach out to the only people I can trust yes YOU... banana pudding recipes please!!!

well i sure wish brad would tell me but i know wont be cooked meal because wont be home for day or two ...but anything he would love to eat out is what he will get ...he just takes life somtimes way to easy ..

terry keeps telling me that all he wants is a big steak dinner the biggest steak i can find grilled of course and baked pot and all the fixings which we dont have that much longer left which he will be home in 3 months and i really can't wait because thats not all he's getting for dinner dessert is me of course lol...

This is so funny to me, because I think just about everything has been on my boyfriend's list at least once. Lately it's anything Mexcian or Italian.

Last time he got out, however, we ended up not eating much right away, going for a drive and getting a Dairy Queen ice cream cone and then McDonald's for dinner. Funny how it's such a big deal in there, but once they're home food isn't that big a deal.

James just wants his favorite meal of fried pork chops, rice with brown gravy,green peas, and bisquets. All home made of course. He said food would come later he says the only place we are stopping when I pick him up is the first motel we come to.;) I'm not complaining cause food will be the last thing on my mind. :)

yesterday, the first thing Craig said to me when we got on the phone was "baby, I cant wait to come home so you can feed me!:
I thought that was so funny, because he use to have a lil meat on his bones, now since locked up, he is skinny as hell!!
When craig comes home, he has requested that we have teryaki steak tips, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, a tall glass of pepsi, and eclairs for desert. I'm sure he will want to go eat at LongHorn as well, since that is one of his favorites.
I really do miss cooking for him and seeing his face when he is too full and cant eat another bite.
I hope he's home for thanksgiving, because the way things look now, he might be, and he hasn't had a real thanksgiving since he was 15, and he's 29 now. I want to give him the best thanksgiving a person can have, with the family and all the wonderful food that comes along with thanksgiving!:thumbsup:

Im sure he want me as his main course...but maybe some SHRIMP on the side.

He laughes and tell me " Baby I'm not looking forward to food, I just look forward to being with you and holding you" and well you all know the rest!! :blush: then it was " maybe your grandma can fix some of those good ol biscuits and gravy you always talk about for me that morning." He would love a med. rare 4in. porterhouse steak, baked potato with sour cream, asparagus, a fresh salad with olives, cheese,onions and peppers in it and cheese cake. A big glass of milk, like a big boy!

He could care less, he just wants to be home. I wouldn't put it past him to go to the kitchen to cook dinner himself! I think I'll make him some BIG, THICK oxtails, my homemade seafood rice, fresh collard greens with hamhocks, cornbread and for desert I'll bake him a pineapple cake frosted with lemon frosting with milk. I love cooking for him and I miss that so much. So used to watching him eat visit room it really is a treat seeing him eat REAL FOOD.

He knows I cant cook, so he doesnt expect much:haha:
