The letters go to the three-member parole group that serves your inmate's unit. There are several around the state. Each panel and their address is listed on the TDCJ website. It also won't hurt to send the same letters to his/her unit parole office to make double sure they get into the file. The unit people are listed as Institutional Parole Offce, XXX Region, city, etc. He is not likely to ever be interviewed by the three member panel but a parole officer from the IPO will go to the unit and interview him. One school of thought says they have no meaningful input to the process. Others say that what they do or do not report to the board can make the difference. Believe whatever you want but I chose to err on the side of doing too much rather than not enough. That meant speaking to the people who will actually conduct a face to face interview and sending them copies of everything I sent to the regular parole panel. I am also going to ask for an in-person interview. You get one chance to get on the merry go round and if you fail then they may be set off for 1-5 years. It's worth it to do everything possible on their schedule of events. The worst they can do is waste your 37 cents and throw the letter in the trash. The best they can do is put it into the file then take positive action on it,

well what's the address to send the leeters to!! he comes up for parole between march and may and i want to have them done by then

I thought I read on here somewhere by someone that they never divulged who a case was assigned to? I tried calling Amarillo to find out so that I could ask for an interview and they told me they didn't give out that information, though they told me last year.

Is this yet another case of it always depends on who you get a hold of??
