I have to drive almost 2 hours to go and visit my sunshine in florence. I love exploring AZ and I have a book that shows a map to a very large artifacte spread. Just as you are entering florence ( coming from Phx) Before you go over the Gila river turn right down Hunt highway.Drive about half a mile (directly in front of big Mt. with F on it, Postins butte i believe) Accross the street you will find indian pottery , arrowheads and alot of other interesting pieces of history. The only thing that you are allowed to take are arrowheads, everything else is protected and you could get in some trouble if you take the pottery. Also if that is too far off the main track then there is a little bar that is right before the Gila river, look in open field that is directly in front of there! My baby gets sentenced on Monday, January 5th (my birthday)....If they sentence him and he ends up in prison...then ends up in Florence....maybe sometime we can carpool together......Ive never been there....nor to any prison in arizona......it would be nice to have someone to ride with.....But that is only if he goes to prison.....which He wont!!! LOL
