Hi! can any on offer some advice: my husbands attorney rquested that probation be dropped on my husbands state case- I assume because he is going to be a guest of the Fed.Prison System for another year-1/2. The judge denied it but gave no reason. I have written to the attorney bt he has not answered me yet? Anyone have any suggestions? Should I write the judge? Anysuggestions??

Be the squeaky wheel. Do not give up, call every day until someone answers you. If you drop it, they will. Most def!!!

Blu,
The judge probably wants your husband to continue his probation once he is released. I was fortunate enough to have a state judge that dropped my probation and gave me state time to run CC with my fed time. Actually, it was just a little less, so I never had to go to state prison for that. In this case, I am guessing that the state judge wants to re-instate his probation, though he could be waiting to revoke it after he gets out, but that is more unlikely, since he probably would have already gotten a bench warrant to bring him to his court from the feds. You need to ask this lawyer about the case and what the D.A. and judge are planning to do.. He should be able to get this info without any problems.

thankyou for answering my post. I guess I will keep writing to the lawyer....he still hasn't answered me. I will give him another week or so, then I will have to start calling him.
