OMG!! How RUDE is this?!?!?!? Charlie sent me out a letter on Sunday nite - he does every week, I usually get it by Wednesday. This week, no letter :( - ok we both chalked it up to the Holidays and said "I'll get it by Friday". He wrote me again on Tuesday, today I got that letter. Still not the Sunday letter. I saw my mailman he said to me "Hey lucky you, 2 letters this week!" I told him this was my first letter this week, he said "No it's not I delivered 3 letters from Florida prisons to you on Wednesday, and I KNOW one was from Charlie" . I am so PISSED I can hardly see straight, he told me this letter was a "bad" letter, we had some minor turmoil over the weekend and he was venting, he even "vented" to my daughter in a letter he wrote to her. A friend of his also sent me a letter on Sunday night, a "thanks for the Christmas Card letter" and his brother is at another Florida facility, we put money on his books for Christmas, so that was probably the other 2 letters! His father and his father's girlfriend HATE me, long story, we used to be friends, I went out with her son for a while, I don't know what to think, maybe they took my letters! OMG!! Sorry this is so long, I just needed to vent, rant, rave, etc. :fb:

I think you have every right to be upset!! You can mess with alot of things just not my mail from my Honey! I suppose no one saw anyone around you house either. So it would be hard to prove anything. If you could prove it ... it's a federal offense, I think??

Yep, that's what I'm thinking - I don't know who else would even think about doing something like that! One of our tenants (my brother and I own the property, he lives in the house on the property, my daughter and I live in one of the 5 apartments) said there was a short blonde woman there on Tuesday, asking if I lived there. He told her "No, they moved about a month ago", 'cause he said she just didn't "feel right", and he figured if she didn't know where I lived, she didn't need to know- LOL - his Dad's girlfriend is a short blonde woman - S^&%!!!!! Yeah I hear ya girl!!!! - DON'T mess with mail from my Honey!!! Whether he's "yellin' at me or not!! - :D

I think we are lucky over here because our mail is actually put through the front door and drops on the mat inside, there's no way anyone can steal it. When I lived in Australia we had the same system as you, mailboxes on the outside of the building. I never did like it.

Report the missing mail to your postmaster. Messing with the mail is a federal offense that is taken very seriously. Your mail man should be able to help provide the proof you need as he's the one who delivers it. Also see, if it's convenient for you, if the post office will hold your mail for pick-up by you in the meantime.

get a post office box.

i dont trust my neighbors..and the mailmen have a tendency to NOT pay attention when they are putting the mail in the boxes...so im just gonna get a PO box either today or monday. cause i dont want some witch to get MY letters from MY boyfriend.

also, i had to make a complaint about some mail i was recieving. and i called 411 they gave me the 800 # for the post office dealie. and i made the complaint. she claimed they would contact me w/in 24 hrs. try 2 weeks later i get a call..but i toldem to F off in my mind cause they are lazy goobers.

anyways, sorry that someone is taking your mail.

It's definitely a federal offense and it's definite that they WILL deal with it. Where you have the eyewitness of someone coming around and the word of your postman, you should be seeing them go pay a visit to his dad's house. They don't mess around. They go out and tell people that it's a federal offense and that they'll be prosecuted for sure if they're caught with someone else's mail.

I got James leters all out of order once. The dates on the letters and the postmark matched but I got the last one he wrote me first and the first one last. It was wierd. Sorry about your mail being taken. I hope you figure it out. It is a federal offense to mess with peoples mail. Another time when James was in county he wrote my letters to a mutual friends house(cause of my job at the jail he couldn't write to my address). They sent his letters back stating there were too many names at one address getting mail? So my name had to be put on some kind of list at the post office to receive mail at her house. Isn't that crazy? But of course my friend lisa did have a conjillion people it seem like living there and she was still getting mail herself by all of her previously married names and maiden name. Go figure.
