:fb: I live in California and visit my son once a month in Tucson Rincon unit. On my last visit 12/27, while I was waiting in line, to get in. Someone was telling me about an inmate, in that unit that was murdered. My son said he couldn't talk about it. Does anyone else know about it and what happened and why?

I live in Phoenix and I have not heard anything on the news about this, but I will try to find out. Hopefully it is just a rumor. I have a friend in the Rincon unit, so I will call his family tomorrow and see if they know anything. If I find anything out I will let you know.

Hau

Not to let anyone down but a slaying or death of an inmate doesnt make any news headlines and it is very seldom that they even talk about or tell the free worlders to avoid trouble.

WinyanTsumanitu - Inmate deaths may not always make the local evening news, but they have always been mentioned in the Arizona Republic. This IS America - we don't hide. There are plenty of people/causes out there who care about our inmates and would make sure publicitiy is generated from this - if anything to gain attention for their cause.

Fact - No inmate was murdered at Rincon - it was just a rumor circulating. I verified this in three places.

good! ya know "inmate deaths" are thrown around or covered up etc,,, for every inmate there is a family out here who is feeling that loss. we need to do all we can to not only let them be public, but to make them stop

Last year my son was in Rincon, He told me there where 3 stabbings which all three ended in death. I tried to find out more ( reading papers.Obituary Etc.) could never find a thing.I do believe they try and sweep it under the rug, wish family members would speak out some way. So we could help them. They might be in prison but they are not forgotten!

My baby is at rincon to, when ever I ask him about the violence that goes down there, He never really answers, he just tells me that he is a solder, and not to worry about anything happening to him. It scares me sooo much, cause even solders somtimes die. "please lord keep our men safe"
