I went for visitation today and a guard put a notice up on the microwave cart that said they are ending the limited visitation schedule as of April 4th. As of that day the visitation will go back to Sat & Sun from 9am - 3pm. :) It is my understanding that the reason they went to the limited visitation schedule is due to the volume of prisoners now housed at Baldwin. It is 1000+ and from what I was told everyone housed there has visitation priviledges whereas it used to be that they only allowed the permanent inmates visitation priviledges.

I was told that they are going back to the regular visitation and then they are going to reassess and determine if they can hold all of the visitors.

I think all of the prisons did visitation limitations because of a couple of things: the sheer number of inmates and also due to budget cutbacks! I think it was up to the prisons how they handled it though... At Burrus CTC (which I like their schedule better), inmates with last names A-M was on Sat. 9-3 and inmates with last names N-Z and juveniles was on Sun. You still got all day visits, just one day, not two! Where he's at now, at Scott S.P., it's like this Sat. A-M is 9-12 and N-Z is 12-3 and then on Sun. N-Z is 9-12 and A-M is 12-3. Personally, this sucks because I have a 3+ hour drive... I'd rather drive one day and get an all day visit in, ya know!!!

But this that you posted is good!!! Maybe they'll all be going back to full visitation!!!! Let's pray!!
