I think I saw a thread about this the other day, but now I can't find it. Maybe it was in another forum....

Do you all have any ideas for Valentine surprises for your sweethearts? I was reading some threads from V-day last year, and there were some good ideas.

I was thinking of making cards that spell out the words, "I love you Travis" in pink, red, and white construction paper. Each letter would be a different card. I thought I could mail them on different days, out of order, and once he has them all, he can figure out what it says. Inside, I'll come up with a little love poem or something sweet to say.

Do any of you have any other ideas you'd like to share?

Aside from surprizing James with a visit, I was gonna go to this old time photo place where I live and get a picture done. Ya know like a saloon girl? Low cut dress, garter, bottle of jack. they are pretty cool there done in black and white and ya wear costumes from whatever period ya want. He's all about photo's so I thought it would be different. And yess I'll probably send a card everyday leading up to valentines day. Your idea is pretty cool also, very creative. I probably would've never thought of that.

Oooh... I love the old time photo idea! That's a good one!!! Trav wanted me to get one done at the State Fair this past summer, but I never got around to it. I didn't know they had shops that did those, too. How neat!

Yeah, I live in St. Augustine, nations oldest city woohoo:) Everything is old here. :) We have two of those shops in the historic district. Once I get it done I'll try to get it sized right to post here so ya can see it. I jus hope I can keep the visit a surprise. I'm going to see him on the 10th and 11th of this month. And before I leave on the second day he always asks when I'm coming back. He can read me like a book. So I guess I should say I'm gonna try to surprise him!:D

Ohh y'all got my mind working too! This is gonna be our first Valentine's apart (:() so I want to make it extra special for him. I love the idea of the cards spelling different letters. That's pretty cool.....Now is the best time to think about all this so I can get a move on and gather things now....I love doing things like this.

I did send Louie a big envelope when he was in county. I think I got the idea from someone in here. I cut out hearts from construction paper--pink, red, white, purple, blue, etc--and wrote cute little sayings on them (see my thread in the Poetry section titled "Sweet Lines To Send Your Honey") I put them all in the envelope and wrote "Warning:You Are About To Have A Heart Attack!" on the envelope and sent it. He LOVED it! Thought it was the cutest thing in the world!! Just a thought though guys....what else can we come up with?

WOW!! These are great ideas!! I know for his 29th birthday on Feb. 27th I am sending him 29 cards! So I want to come up with something creative for Valentines Day!! This threadis a wonderful idea......right now I can't think of anything creative, but if I get a brainstorm I will come back and post it!!

I went card shopping the other day and found a perfect I miss you valentine. it was so perfect i started bawling right in the card aisle at walgreens, like a big 'ole baby! Good thing my son was close by to drag me to the check out!! LOL! Miss My Baby SO MUCH!!

I hadn't thought of Valentines Day yet. I started reading your posts though and my dirty mind thought some naughty photos cut up as a puzzle and each piece mailed separately would be fun! I love to tease him. He says "how do you manage to do that? I don't think I could tease you no matter how hard I tried to think up a way? " must be a female thing....

Heck, I don't even know where to GO to get sexy pics done or I would. Anyone who could make this body look sexy would be my personal hero for all time :D

Back to the original topic, here's some of my ideas that I posted before but it might be easier for newer members to read them again here....so indulge me :)

Write them an I Love You Poem....
Not the fancy rhyming kind. Just write a list of I love you because's....I love the way you always look into my eyes when you say I love you....I love when you argue with the tv....and end it with something like I love the way you make me feel completely loved and wanted. This also works for an I miss you letter.

Make a Why Do You Love Me 21 Questions (or less...lol). Make some questions sweet and some naughty for those more adventurous types. Like what part of my body do you love, what do I do that makes you feel special, what one thing makes you think of me, etc. But make sure you answer the same questions too that way both of you get a Valentines present.

For those not wanting to do naughty pics, you can still take a bunch of pics of yourself wearing red & pink. Take ones of you writing I Love You with lipstick on the mirror, holding a box of chocolate hearts, snuggling with a valentine bear, hugging his favorite shirt (or wearing it if it fits), for peeps with snow spray painting I love you in red in the snow, or rocks in the grass, anything valentiny and then send them all at once.

Go to one of the online calender programs and make up a Feb. calendar with something sweet (and or naughty) written for each day. Like Feb. 9, re-read all your letters....Feb. 13, listen to your favorite song, etc.

Just a little note: Writting in different languages may not be such a good idea. I did that once & they seised all his letters, wouldn't even tell him why, just told him that a letter he recieved was gang related! I could have gotten him is so much trouble but I wrote a ("Im stupid & wasn't thinking") letter to the lady in charge of the mail room.

Anyway for Chuckie's birth day I sent him 3 cards, one from his son, one from his friends & one from his friends.

I did the ILY w/letters thing for Bryan for xmas though I sent one each day to spell it out correctly,gave him something to look forward too each day,he would be like WTF? Good ideas.. I went and got one of those big 8x10 valentine cards but I want to do something more creative too...

Another good site to go to is www.lovegrams.com. All you need is a little imagination to make a HOT card and they have coupons that you can write something to go with it. Tell him to hold onto them, and redeem when he gets home!!!!! How HOT depends on you, lol. I loved the one with the bubblebath that says "wanna join me". Have fun ladies and thanks for the other tips, I'll be checking into them.

I went to a professional photographer and had some "sensual" photos done, which turned out absolutely beautiful. I am going to make Nick a calendar, with different photos for each of the different months.

For my Husband's birthday and Valentines Day, I send him 24 items (letters, cards, laughs...) and on the outside of the envelopes in the left hand corner I write the time of day he is to read them. He has enjoyed this, and I have felt like I've spent an entire day with him.

Well I plan to mail out 14 Valentine cards so far but I havent come up with any new ideas my man speaks spanish anyways so telling him I love you in spanish doesnt really count but I do plan to put a some what provacative outfit and have my BF take some pics of me ........I'm going to do the whole send him one letter a day for the whole I love you thing but I wish I could come up with something good to do for him for valentines day since this will be our first one apart and we have 9 more to go maybe I shouldnt use all the ideas up now HUH!!!!!

I'm one of the weird ones who would have no problem getting nekkid in front of a stranger, but I would NEVER be able to do that in front of someone who knows me. I'm sure that makes no sense, but I never do :D

I sent my hunny a heart cut out of construction paper... wrote a lil poem that means a lot to both of us and then on the other side I put on some really pink shimmery lipstick and left a big kiss print on there for him. He keeps it with him while he is at work and when he starts to get stressed he will kiss it... in private of course. But I have made him a few of those and started that on V-Day! He really loves them!

I know I said this earlier but you Ladies have certainly outdone yourselves w/all these creative ideas and links! I am definitely starting mines to get prepared tomorrow ... my brain is on Overdrive ... lol ...
