So... I can't seem to get off this computer. I keep looking for a way to make this better and feel more at peace... I wrote the governor. Used my best grown up voice and let them know that the treatment there was both inhumane and unlawful. Maybe he can help.. maybe you should try too?? thanks Erica

I just go a letter from my sister, so I'm glad that I have already started the process to help alleviate some of this... She says she is in PC (protective custody) in a single cell. There was a fight between her and her girlfriend... that was after dinner on the 22nd. The Sgt who locked her up said it would only be until Monday when the asst. Warden got there ... On Wednesday night she wrote this letter to me and asked for help. It had been 72 hours and she was still there. They came through and said she was getting wrote up and she of course was okay with that because she did do something wrong. Problem is that she is just sitting in the cell alone and is not even allowed exercise as they are treating her as SEG (segregation) ... so great Monday, I have to call Warden Jones or Albright... Okay so this isn't the worst thing in the world since they will reassign her if she stayed in PC but where else will she go?? hmmmm

You sound very proactive and very concerned. Keep up the good work. I have taken steps, too. Look up the southern center for human rights in Atlanta.

So the letter to the governor did no good, he just pretty much said he didn't handle that the commissioner did.. and forwarded the message to him after specifically telling him that I hadn't written to him first due to the scary thought of retailiation... uh
