I am planning my first visit to the Robertson Unit. I printed and filled out the visitation form provided on this site, but I was wondering, do I mail it directly to the unit or do I mail it to my friend, so he can give them the information? Thanks.

Now your talking about the new information sheet they require you to have right? I think you can just take it with you. But my question is, he does already have you on his visitation list correct? You can't visit him unless you're already on his list which he can only change every six months. In other words, you can show up with that info sheet filled out and expect to visit unless you're already listed on his approved visitation list. You probably already know all of that, but just in case - wanted to make sure - I'd hate for you to make a trip to Abilene and not be able to get in. :)

I have a brother that is an inmate at the Robertson Unit as well. I was wanting to know if the inmates could have visits on both Saturday and Sunday?

It depends, you have to live a certain amount of miles away, i believe even as far as a different state, and have a special visit arranged by the warden. I am going this morning to see my hubby, and i will ask for you.

I will really appreciate that. Yeah I live in Florida and my brother that is coming with me lives in Minnisota. So im thinking that they should let us.

There is a new form you have to turn in now? I am confused. I just went for a visit on valentines and I didn't have to turn in a form...is there some new form now?

Yeah, thanks for reminding me... I made sure to ask and he said that I was on his visitation list. Can you imagine traveling 8-9 hours and being told to just go back home?! I would definitely not be a happy camper.

Sorry, i did not get back with you sooner, i have been sick. The lady at check-in said to bring in the form and to make sure you and anyone with you of course is on his visitation list. Hope that helps.

aumm so there is a new additional form that just came out that needs to be turned in at visits? did this new form take place after 2/14/09?

They had the new form there to fill out for awhile but I think he came out right before the cell phone thing I don't remember. You may have already filled it out and don't remember.
