my man is currently being held in the estrella jail pending trial. Anyone who knows anything about the facility?

My son was in the astrailla jail for awhile and its a terrible place . He starved.

It was like suspected that they feed the inmates with surplus food,well my man in up for sentencing january 8 and hopefully he get transferred back to Florence,it is rough there too but yet in a way better. Thank you for answering.

the only good thing about Estrella (compared to durango) is the visitation process. it isn't as crowded and it doesn't take 3hours for your number to be called. it's usualy a 20 min wait.. Mly baby is at durango now : ( on a non contact visit. I don't think it's right that they don't allow hugging and kissing or even just holding hands. That is what hurts me the most when I go see him not being able to touch him and hug him.

Durango Huh? Maybe I have seen you there sometime. I go there 3 times a week to visit my fiance.....It sucks there!!! Sentencing is not until February 4th.....Ive been doing this since August!!!!

[B]I's been awhile since I've been there, but It's one of the worst jails I've ever seen. {yea, unfortunately, I've seen quite a few!} I don't know if Arpaio is still runnin' things, but back then, he was dying mens boxers pink, painting the walls pink w/teddy bears, and the inmates had to eat Ostrich meat!! And, he was trying to pass some crap re: men cutting their hair!

Well Arpaio still runs it all. Yes the inmates wear pink boxers, pink socks and they have pink thermals......About the ostrich meat???? I haven't heard anything about that......And haircuts?.....All I do is write to the jails and ask them to give my fiance a haircut, and they give him one!! It works everytime......

Worse is the fat that they at times forcibly cut off a Americian Indians hair as to many nations/tribes the hair is Sacred and part of the spiritual life,so he doesnt give a .... about the religious freedom act . Sheriff Joke :(

It is run by you know who so don't expect things to be wonderful. I was told by some friends that when they were there he had males and females in the same cell (I'm not kidding either), which is not the way it is supposed to be done. Arpaio is a liability.

Estrella jail is the one I think that has video visitation, and if thats the same jail I went there to visit a bf at the time who was in there and it was terrible
