My man is doing 20. He will probably really do eighteen. He's been gone ten. Mandatory minimums. Has anyone else noticed that they go a little nuts, at the ten year mark? I am an ex con too, but I have been a good girl for ten years, Agh, would I have given up the drugs and the other things if I'd only known how long it would be without sex too? confused:  I love him and I'll be here. It is a whole other world tho, when there is so much time. Can you all say Hey, how long and if yours is in the fed, or a state facility? Thanks, and yeah, after I lost that red socks bet, he got his thong shot, guess I got used to it, kind of like that little sound he makes when I say, "got a purple thong on today..."

Not sure what you're bet was about exactly, but I just lost one 2 weeks ago. I was so sure that I bet a little more than a thong shot!

My fiance is in the Maine State Prison. He's done 6 of his 20 (17 with good time). If I go more nuts at the ten year mark, you all had better watch out. I'm there now!

I lost a bet about Studio 54. I had never heard of it before. My fiance bet me that any of my friends would know what it was. I picked my oldest friend figuring she'd have no idea. Alas, she knew more of the history of it than my honey. I can't get up the nerve to give him the shots he wants - and I owe him 5!

Hello. My mans release date is 2018. This could change, could stay the same. I am not really at liberty to discuss that part right now. He is currently at Federal Corrections in Schuylkill PA. I am apart of the hope for the best expect the worse. And I am definately in agreement on the 10 year mark comment. If it gets worse at 10 years....look out....you will find me hanging from a ceiling somewhere...lol

My guy is in a NYS correctional facility. Started in '85, his conditional release date is 2005, then 5 yrs on suprvision. We will be in heaven when 2010 gets here and this nightmare is finally over.
Michele.... we just got married in May of this year! smiles.

Travis started his little hiatus in October of 2000. His release date right now is 11/2011. Hopefully he'll earn some good time back (up to two years) and HOPEFULLY our PRP motion will go through, knocking 24-36 months off. I'm not holding my breath, though.

My hubby's been in since '89. His release date is October of 2021. 17 + years left to go and counting. *sigh* We've been married since May of 2001. I didn't know him when he was a free man. He's in state prison in NY.

Kenny is doing State time...he's in his 15th year of a 20 year sentence...we have been down every road there is...after the first couple of years I just couldn't handle it...we parted ways..i remarried only to divorce and find myself right back were i belonged all the time...long sentence are the worst, it was only after the 10 year mark before Kenny really got his sh*t together and started working on coming home. I stayed so mad at him before that, to the point I couldn't have anything to do with him...looking back at all that we have gone though and the changes we both have made...to be honest..i wouldn't change a thing..........Denise

Hi everybody!! My husband is at Buena Vista in Colo. He has served little over 4 of a 48 year sentence-he got the "bitch"(habitual). We are still going strong though, praying for a great result from the appeal...expecting the worst, but hoping for the best. Happy New Year!

My boyfriend sentenced to life with parole possible. He been in since January, 1998. This month makes 6 years he has completed. His very first parole hearing is in January, 2008. We have atleast 4 more years before he can even possibly be considered for release.

We also met through letters, then phone calls, then visits. We've been writing for 1 1/2 years and "dating" for about 6 months. I knew there was something special about him from the start. We both knew we had a connection from the very start, but it didn't really hit either of us as romantic until that first meeting and then.......well...... WHAM!!!!!

Hello everyone my husband got a 45 year sentence in our wonderful Texas system. He has been in 10 years and it is weird after the 10 years they go kind of buck wild my husband now where before he did'nt requests me to wear more revealing clothes. He has been up for parole 3 times and is going up for his 4th in April of this year and has a mandatory sentence we are still hoping he will be home soon he is soppose to be released after doing 15 and he has done 11 in April so we will just see. I also have 2 brothers in the Michigan system who just went in in May this year one got a 75 year sentence the other got 25 so I have a long haul to go .

Yeah, thats what I meant, when I first posted, it isn't me that going off, I've been a lost cause for awhile, it's him. It seems like ten years just really hit a nerve, emotionally. He's more depressed that he ever was, when he's depressed, and more hopefully than ever, when he's hopeful, and yes, he's also more sexually frustrated than he's ever been. Not that I'm not. But I gotta tell you girls, it may be a very good thing that he can't see me at 6:30 am when he calls me and says, Baby, what you got on?

darkbluegirl, I bet whatever you're wearing at 6:30am would turn him on at this point. My man was turned on when I told him I had baggy flannel pants on, granny underwear, a grey long-sleeved shirt and my old librarian glasses on with a headband and a tea tree oil mask on my face.

Hello, My name is Honey Bun. My man is doing 45 years. He has been in for almost 6 years now. But the good thing is that he does get his good time because he got arrested before the new law went into effect. He gets 75 or 76 days for every month he does as long as he stays on level 4. And stays out of trouble. which he does. He has only had one write up in all the 51/2 years he has been in. But I miss him so much, it seems like it will be an eternity until we will be able to be together. I have never got to make love to my man yet! But at least our visits are very affectionate one's.

Hi. My husband is in federal prison. He's been down since 1982 - and I've been with him all these 22 years. Has a 65 year sentence but is under the old parole system. Parole hearing this May - his 10th hearing. What a roller coast that is! Sometimes it seems like a really long time but sometimes it doesn't. We've gained weight, wear reading glasses, gave up our wild ways, but we are still so in love - it's quite amazing. We just have vowed not to let the "system" get inbetween us - and we haven't so far! Zelda

My man is in Sacramento, Cali CF and has been down since November 2000, he was given 25 yrs to life, possibility that he could come home in 2017...were praying for the appeal and if he wins it, he will be home in less than two years. I've been with him since the day his trial started (I was an alternate on his jury, we didn't know each other then obviously). The day the jury reached a verdict was the day I took the chance to meet him, because the truth is the evidence wasn't there and he should have been going home. It's been almost two years now, and we are going strong and I will be by his side until he comes home no matter what year that is.

Hello all! I just noticed this thread . . . a little late? My fiance has been in for almost 11 years now. He was sentenced to 15 - 30 as a habitual. He goes up for parole in 2007. I CAN'T WAIT!!!! I HOPE LIKE HELL that he gets it, but you all know that it's not healthy to get the ol' hopes up. It has been on heck of an emotional rollercoaster ride from the beginging, but I have to say that it has been SOOO worth it!

And I have to agree, something strange happens to them at the 10 year mark!!! We went through it too! And I also have to agree about ANYTHING turning them on too! I told Jack about how I have always wanted (as an adult) them footie jammies, ya know the blanket sleepers that lil' kids wear . . . well my sister found a patern and she is making me a pair! I told him about this and told him that I should send him a pic of me in them . . . (joking of course!) . . . and he responded that he would kill for a pic of me in them with my hair in piggytails!!! Hahahaha! He is too funny!!! (And a BIG dreamer!!!! :D )

Rich has been in since he was 16 and he's been away 10 years this October. We met in 6th grade and we were sweet on each other. He goes up for parole this October and I do pray that its in Gods plans for him to be released...if not I will still stay and be his #1 fan! His max out date is in 2014.
