Ok,
Its christmas day here, and I would like to dedicate this first thread to all our loved ones on death row on christmas day. We need to let them know how deeply they are loved, and how our lives have been touched by them being in our lives. So, we cant give them physical presents, but we can
SEND THEM ALL OUR LOVE and I personally believe that love is the greatest gift of all.

Kyla, Thank you for posting this thread. I saw my loved ones for our Christmas visit which was on December 23. I want to wish all on DR's everywhere a very Blessed and safe Christmas. May you never lose hope. May God's Light shine in these places of incarceration. And may God continue to watch over you all the days of your life. I want to say I love you to my husband. I continue to support him in all we have left to do. To my son-in-law, I love you as a son. I stand by you forever. As long as it takes to get our men off the row. Texas YOU CANNOT HAVE THEIR LIFE! Sorry Kyla, didn't mean to get on my soap box. love to you and Jason. The "M" Family.

I no longer have the man in my life on Death Row thanks to Ryan, but I do have a friend in Texas and, Rosita, I'm with you in telling Texas they cannot have Glenn's life either.

Happy Christmas to all those on the Row and their families and friends on the outside.

May i ask all of you what your loved one did to be put on death row?

Capital murder is the only thing someone can be sentenced to death for. My husband was only an accomplice, he didn't commit the crime he was so unjustly sentenced for. I however do not feel like anyone should ask that question in the "loving a death row inmate" forum, but that is just my opinion.

That was a tough one to answer, I read it earlier, but you put it into worrds well.

They have to prove three things, atrocious, heinous and cruel, to put someone on deathrow. Alot of times when the prosecution cant do that, they will find someone who can build there case, such as jailhouse snitches who end up with sentence reducing, and false testimony. That is why the death penalty is so wrong, because their are alot of men on there that are innocent, or have been badly represented in trial, relying on public defenders, that havent represented them properly. You should ask this question in the capital punishment talk forum, as you may get a better repsonse. As RandysBlondie20 said this forum is for support for people with loved ones on death row.

i know im reading this thread moinyhs later than christmas, but since i found it i just want to say that i do plan to go and visit my baby who is on the row on christmas. the visits are only 2 hours long and i think that it will make me feel very good to know that im making his day a better one by visiting him on a day that others are so often "too busy" to visit on. like som one above said love is the greatest gift of all and im making sure i spread some to my baby on christmas.....
