This case has received a lot of attention because of Michael Skakels relationship to the Kennedy's. I had heard a lot about his statement that he read in court and thought I would share it for those of you who might be interested...

My neighbor has been a correctional officier for the past 10 years and he works at Garner Facility where Michael Skakel is currently being held. I had asked him about the 'special treatment' I had read about and he said that a Major in the Visiting room allowed on several occassions, Michael's brothers and other relatives to visit whenever they showed up. Michael was also allowed to use the staff bathroom during these visits...

Umm....money and noterity do have an influence...

Well needless to say, the DOC Commissioner was outraged and some serious changes and directives were ordered for this facility. It will interesting to hear if there are any further reports of 'special treament' for Michael Skakel...
