If so, please post the details and your experience in the thread link below. The Prison Weddings Team is working hard to have marriage information for each state. We can't complete this project without your help!

Thanks!

I know that Maine allows marriages and it's suppose to be fairly easy process.

I will ask around at visits for a little more info for you Mrs. D.

Take care,

Sheila

so, in maine they the prsoner has to apply for a weddng packet 6 weeks before the wedding date, obviously prisoner is responsible for all costs
you can have your own priest, your need 2 witnesses
priest and witnesses and obviously you have to be approved visitors
prisoners are allowed to have wedng bans, no gems with a value of no more than $150

While I was at my visit at MSP yesterday, there was a beautiful woman who had just gotten married earlier that day, she seemed so happy!

she told me that the process was really easy, and they were very nice during the ceremony, and gave them like 20 minutes just for photos, then she got her regular 2 hour visit after the wedding.

I can't wait till I get to be the happy bride!
