Dear Mr. Berge, (warden) 3/7/03 no response
I’m requesting copies of Mr. Bryce Garrett’s conduct reports since his incarceration at WSPF, Boscobel. All Reports pertaining to his level dropping and rising while his incarceration at Boscobel WSPF, please forward them to me Mrs. Margaret Dorn 724 E. Frontage Rd. Little Suamico, WI 54141.
Also I’d like to collaborate on your views and comments that you had made to Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Mr. Richard P. Jones dated August 31,1999. Here are a few issues and questions I would like to collaborate on.
In your comments to Mr. Jones you stated that this is a place WSPF Boscobel, “quote” was built for the Jeffery Doahmers of the world. Not to mention the notorious Christopher Scarver, who beat Dahmer and another inmate to death. My question to you Mr. Berge, is you put it out to the public, that this facility is for inmates “Worst of the Worst” killers, rapist, child molestation, kidnapers, ECT. Inmates that are of the most Violent natured criminals in the world! Could you tell me in your own words please Mr. Berge why Mr. Bryce Garrett # 078526, a non-violent, senior citizen inmate incarcerated for forgery, with two thirds of his time in, is incarcerated there at WSPF Boscobel taking up a $57,000 yearly bed? For three years already! At the tune of $171,000 of our taxpayers money, when he could be in a lesser costing facility and that would fit the criterion of Mr. Bryce Garrett’s crime. He is a senior citizen and never committed a crime of violence and does not belong there at Boscobel, a prison that houses the worst of the worst, and among the Jeffery Doahmers of the world as” you quoted” to Mr. R.Jones @ The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Surely you can see the problem and concerns that this is bringing up. Theses issues are being brought to the attention of many people at this time and, I would ask you please to respond to this matter of his transfer out of there. The publics concerns are many, as well as WSPF Boscobel keeping inmates at a low level to secure blatant pitfalls of a waste $47.5 million dollars of the taxpayers money. At this time Mr. Berge with the serious issues that are coming forth I have to agree with all taxpayers whom are looking into these issues, and commend them in there efforts to transfer him out of WSPF at Boscobel and save the taxpayers a chunk of money as well. Also Mr. Berge, I’d like to hear your views and comments on a statement that you made to Mr. Richard Jones @ The Milwaukee Journal sentinel your anticipation of the length of stay there at WSPF Boscobel? You stated, “We would anticipate that the length of stay here at this whole facility would be between a year and three years”. Once again Mr. Berge I have to question your position there at Boscobel in the Bryce Garrett incarceration stay there. It almost seems that you forgot about Mr. Garrett, and he fell thru the cracks of that prison. It’s been three years for him already since transferred to Boscobel, is he there to fill some quota to keep that prison open? Why was he sent there to a supermax facility at the tune of $171,000.00 taxpayers cost in the first place? Again why is he still there? He has never had a violent record in his life, nor is violence something he possesses. I would also request in writing, whom is responsible for his fictitious transfer to Boscobel? And why? Perhaps we the people will figure out what’s going on there as well. I’m requesting a copy of his transfer papers to Boscobel, could you please send me the missing pieces of that puzzle? If you cannot, then please inform me as to where I can go to obtain that information as well.
